If anyone is following me that wishes to continue please follow @danedevalcourt going forward. K, thx, bye.
Looks like I am dropping my @pktloss and moving to @danedevalcourt I am tired of explaining "pktloss" to others. New gmail and wave also.
@errant_sunset I disabled the protected tweet thingie. Not sure why I enabled that.
Spreading holiday cheer by giving out Google Wave and Google Voice invites. Google must be in giving mood to as I keep getting more invites
@melancon looks like you got your answer already. :-) I think they are gonna do good here. Especially with the alcohol / happy hour.
So excited to FINALLY have a burrito place in Lafayette! And it's not even a block from my house. That's trouble.
@fryguy_pa every night it seems I have to do the same thing. However I haven't resorted to kicking yet, just carry her over to her room.
Off today, grabbing some breakfast (Hub City Diner has all the old school local big wigs). Documented some stuff on the HTC Eris Droid
Discovered that Windows 7 has the "mklink" command for doing symbolic links. Moved all my iTunes stuff to dropbox folder and setup symlinks
Now I can have my iTunes configs and media on both home and work computer and always in sync now. Love it.
@HankYeomans ugh yeah why? Because I don't like having to take my hat off? I just don't get the point. How or why does it my hat matter?
At the Ice Gators game with the munchkin tonight. Fun times. Miss the cajundome though. This place is a dump. #fb http://twitpic.com/q1pe4

I forgot the #2 reason I don't like going to sporting events. The stupid taking hats off for the star spangled banner. Pointless.
I could have any Verizon or Sprint phone I wanted for work and not need a personal phone. Instead I pay for personal and fwd. work to it.
It's sad that businesses often ignore superior technology that could help them just because of politics.
Simply because nothing compares to the user experience of the iPhone. Not the type to have technology dictated to me due to corp politics.
Ugh this phone is turning out to be a pain to use. One thing to be not good compared to iPhone, another to be down right difficult.
Oh heck no u didn't give up my iPhone. Not ever going to happen based on the current phones out. Nothing comes close to its usability.
BTW, the phone I am playing with is the HTC / Verizon Droid Eris for those who have asked. It's ok. http://twitpic.com/q0unv

nice feature of the mail app on this droid phone. It can do the threaded conversations even on exchange mail. http://twitpic.com/q0qby

If you feel it necessary to tempt fate and enjoy high risk with no fear of death then go drive your stupid bike off grand canyon and be done
I really wish all these crotch rocket riding asses who feel it necessary to do stupid stuff on public streets would just die already #Darwin
Ultimate thrill ride for you and no more putting others at risk with your stupid antics.
@wotipka this particular HTC is an Android device. Very small. And I have small hands. It has some positives. Not many though.
The only thing I can tell at this point that the droid has that is meaningful and better is background apps. That's about it.
@IPv6Freely no doubt I agree that background apps would be a huge PITA for most. But if battery wasn't an issue there would be sone benefits
Ok so I got a HTC Droid device with Verizon to test for work. Well first take is, it kinda sucks. On screen keyboard is too small.
After having windows devices since they first came out I know that background apps were the #1 issue with them. Constantly reboot them.
iPhone needs an option (chooser) to specify which apps you wish to allow to run in background. Give a disclaimer and call it a day.
One thing this has that I wish we could get on the iPhone is toggles for wifi and Bluetooth such as this: http://twitpic.com/pzxft
