What can you do with that sort of bandwidth? It feels like video streaming is already limited more by what the hosting service is willing to pay, not by the end user's bandwidth. All I can really think that it's good for is bulk P2P asset acquisition.

Any network can develop bottlenecks if the operator doesn't bother to build out capacity to keep up with load. I feel like cable headends are just one of many things that could get slow. Either Comcast is serious about delivering bandwidth, or they're not... they do seem to feel that burst bandwidth is a key differentiator of theirs, but bulk/continuous bandwidth is not what they want to sell.
