I... I'm not sure what to do. Geocaching.com is down. Are there other things to do on weekends? I don't recall. http://mashable.com/2009...
@andrewbutters Looks like it's down due to a major datacenter fire in Seattle. Bing was hit too apparently.
Wellingtons are in and smelling mahvelous. I hope Chef Ramsay doesn't call me a donkey.
@tsirocky When replying on twitter, be sure to to include the person your're replying to in front with the @ sign. I'm seeing half of a conv
Back from the grocery store. Based on raw ingredient price, I sincerely hope tonight's dinner turns out better than last night's spaetzle.
Found: A food mill that does both fruit (ie mulberry seeding, apple sauce) and spaetzle. Food nerd win!
Oh, I'm gonna do it! Adding mulberry pie to take advantage of the berries growing out front. Yes, I know, crazy. I'm that kind of guy.
Preparing for a day of fancy cookin'. French onion soup, Beef Wellington, Roast Fingerling Potatoes, Veg TBD.
Planning another Ottawa trip this week. I do so love the nation's capital! Hope my carpoolers like audio books (thinking Hobbit).
Up with a croupey girl. Katlyn just isn't having any luck this week!
Worst kids book ever: Rude Ramsay and the Roaring Radishes, by Margaret Atwood. Came free with a Scholastic order. Way too complex!
Spaetzle fail, kids call my attempt "brain spaghetti". Note to German colleagues: please bring spaetzle maker for me on next Waterloo trip.
Blue Angels are flying at the CNE air show this year over Labour Day weekend. Hmm, had plans to be at a cottage but that's pretty tempting.
Jodie almost taken out by errant fireball lit by some amateur revelers. Fell over and shot charges into parking lot, literally inches from J
Break in the rain, set up in a nearby schoolyard for feux d'artifices. http://mypict.me/show...
Making the call to watch fireworks from the car tonight instead of fairgrounds. We've had enough rain for the week thankyouverymuch.
@ Home on vacation
July 1, 1867 - the day when Canadians found out that a strongly worded letter sometimes actually works. A culture is born. Happy Birthday!
@jcdietrich Settlers of Catan, Triple Triumph, Bohnanza, Dominoes.
Poor Katlyn. Fever's gone, but mosquito got her on the eye while sleeping. Swollen shut.
When covered with bites, there's nothing more satisfying than seeing mosquitos drop dead in mid-air from coil smoke. http://mypict.me/show...
Today: Breakfast, feed chipmunks, fishing, lunch, nap (yes, me), games, more chipmunks, dinner, campfire, kids bed, more games.
Is impressed every time I go away with how well @JamesStorm steps up to fill the gap. Having great people is comforting.
Eating a pancake the size of my head. Mmm... campin' pancakes!
@bowarburton I will be around that week, and live close to the Toronto airport. Happy to connect and collect my $1 from your last tweet. ;-)
@thezendad Everyone's in great spirits. The kids are doing great despite the rain and Katlyn's fever.
Dinner outside in the thunder and pouring rain (picture). http://mypict.me/show...
Thunderstorm in the middle of the forest is awesome for me. Less so for the little ones.
Poor Katlyn is running a fever. Today is "go into town" day to keep out of the rain. Bumper bowling here we come!
Sun finally showing itself, yay! Sun interfering with plans to get kids to bed early so adults can have fun, boo!
