Along with the HUGE page of "Under Construction" GIFs (http://www.textfiles.com/underco...), the history they were able to save by scraping Geocities is exactly what you'd expect it to be.

Fascinating is a good word. A bit risky for the company to share this data, though. At the bottom of the post, they show that, according to their matching algorithms, race is not a factor to how well people would get along. However, in their next post, they look at reply percentages, and show that race has a significant correlation to when people reply. So, people theoretically get along regardless of race, but in practice they don't give each other as much of a chance. Though they stress that this is likely the case across all dating sites, talking about it in OkCupid's context is quite an easy way to alienate their users.

DELETED PHRASE: "the company did not respond by press time": any phrase that can meaningfully be employed after I say "Hey, do you have any comments?" and the company says "Well, actuall- " and I say "Too late!!" is not one worth putting in your article; - http://www.qwantz.com/index...
