“I notice a trend of people changing their display names on FriendFeed. Please note that I was the first one that pioneered the act of creative display name-changing. :D”
If I had to pay, I'd stop using it. There are many competing services that don't charge. - Morton Fox
Well, normal FriendFeed would still be free, and eventually you would get the same features as the folks paying. What I am really asking is, "Would you pay money to be first into the FriendFeed Beta?" - Here's... possible248!
If I had to pay for the beta, I would just wait for it to come out of beta. It makes no sense to charge for beta anyway. Don't they want people to test it? - Morton Fox
Independent of FriendFeed, no. If something is a true beta, I'm "paying" with my time testing, finding bugs, giving feedback, and working in a potentially unstable environment. If something is a "pre-release for the cool kids" with the tag beta slapped onto it for good measure, I'll use it if I'm deemed a "cool kid"; otherwise, I can wait. - Joanmarie
yeah, i'd pay. No more than maybe $10 a year. But i'd pay. - Zee at WeDoCreative
Interesting perspective. I came up with this idea in the middle of the night when thinking of possible ways for FriendFeed to generate money. - Here's... possible248!
i would pay a little but only if FF stayed competitive. Considering however how all the new competitors emerge like mushrooms and are all for free, not sure many would. Feedly is one good example. - Hayk Hakobyan
Tough question for the cheapest person on the Internet - Charlie Anzman
as in real money? how about some of those fancy virtual dollars? - Chris
I really do have a distaste for X.org at times. Is there a law that says it must crash or lock up at the least convenient time possible? - i80and
Is there a law that says Windows must crash or lock up at the least convenient time? How about Firefox? Actually there is: It's called Murphy's Law. - Voyagerfan5761
Perhaps I should just start using the terminal. X.org can't get me there! - Here's... possible248!
Jeez! Even an ant will never survive something like that! - AJ Batac
Well, an ant would have a much higher chance of survival due to the fact that it is less likely to be hit. If the ant was hit by some portion of the speeding train, then it is certain death. After all, a speeding shoe is also certain death for an ant. - Here's... possible248!
Very impressive. I, unfortunately, witnessed a train/car collision many years ago. I've never even thought of trying to beat a train since. - Chris Baskind
