Can't re-enable tethering even after the downgrade to iPhone OS 3.0 with TMN. I've lost my trust in Apple products for critical applications
I had a macbook pro and an ipod for two years, two years were enough for me to lost my trust in apple products... you can't imagine the problems I had... a nightmare... - paula simoes ☃
I have apples and iPods for more than four years. the usual hw problems (disks failing, ...). no hassles. - Carlos Canau
@canau I started to be anxious all the time just waiting for the next problem. I can say that the maximum time with no problems was of three months... it was horrible, seeing my charger burning was my test limit... - paula simoes ☃
Paula, Carlos, I still think Apple has great products, this is just a problem of attitude. I hope they fix it. - Pedro Pinheiro

due to the amazing amount of words I read in the last days concerning the negativity of multitasking, I decided to write an article "in defense of multitasking" (see Multitasking Muddles Brains, Even When the Computer Is Off:http://www.wired.com/wiredsc...) have yr say
I'd like to see a more comprehensive study matching monotaskers and multitaskers against complex real world problems. - Pedro Pinheiro
ah i read/shared that one today as well, i've been a huge pro-multitasker but i haven't been getting any good real life results. it's already hardwired into my brain so i may not change it even if i try but lately i'm really wondering if multitasking isn't really effective. go on Wildcat I'd love to hear a good defense before I lose my faith in it :) - mersenne
looking forward to reading this article! - Maitani

You can't please everybody and stay original at the same time. That is why things become duller as they make their way into mainstream.
You can be mainstream and original. Just create things that appeal to different people at different levels. - Pedro Pinheiro
Good point. But you probably have to be a genius for that :) - Ashalynd

- paula simoes ☃ from Bookmarklet
- Marcos Marado
- Marcos Marado from fftogo

iPhone's Safari sucks.
- Bruno Miguel
It resizes its resolution not for fitting the width of the page, but for fitting the *whole* page. Which sucks, if you have a small width page, or a big height page. - Marcos Marado
Just double tap any body of text, and it will automatically zoom to fit the width of the readable area. - Pedro Pinheiro
which doesn't help much, since it will still consider that the width of the page is the one he calculated so it has the whole page shown initially, which means that if you have centered elements, you'll have to do a lot of horizontal scroll (if you already zoomed) do read it. And yes, I know there's an hack (I learned it the hard way) to tell the browser that that page as a certain width, but that isn't good because 1) you need a hack, and 2) if this is a dynamic page, it's impossible to get a perfect width - Marcos Marado
In real life usage, I haven't had much trouble with it, considering that it can be used in landscape mode. I still think it's the only mobile implementation that can start to be compared to a laptop/desktop experience. I just wish it didn't crash so much... - Pedro Pinheiro
I'm not really talking in an user point of view, but in a developer prespective. I really didn't need another browser with "special hacks". It should just render HTML as it was supposed to be rendered - that simple. I still think that even Opera Mini is better than iPhone's Safari... - Marcos Marado
I was talking from a users point of view, browsing pages that I know that don't have any specific hacks. - Pedro Pinheiro
