...a Czech-speaking American ex-pat living in Prague since 1993
Dear annoying DM-ers, shove your test, your IQ is obviously lower than mine for sending such stupid (automated) spam. Duh.
@expatina Well, I'm glad the weather cooperated for your visit to Prague, and also welcome back to my little flock of twitterers... :-)
@Rockstar_Sid I ate almost nothing. I drank a lot of water and milk (slowly) and occasionally managed to eat some soft fruit and soft bread.
For the 1st time in nearly ten days, I can chew a piece of toast and drink some grapefruit juice. Laser surgery is no fun.

@blackhippychick Thanks for those nice wishes!
Whales move over, let's save the dolphins. Flipper's trainer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... turned activist http://www.savejapandolphins.org/
I'm wishing a very happy 90th birthday to Frederik Pohl, one of my favorite science fiction writers http://www.frederikpohl.com/index...
@davidbdale No, and I'll bet you wouldn't want them in your followers list either, but many were newbies, so I'm giving a second chance. :-)
@therealmrscienc It's hard for me to believe, but my cat favors freshly shelled green peas above any other kind of food. He's just nuts. :-)
After watching The Local, I am now a fan of Dan Eberle http://www.imdb.com/name... a very multi-talented individual indeed...
@nutzareus I was originally blocking about 15,000, so Twitter ousted most of the hard-core spammers, and the rest I'll give one more chance.
My cat must think of me as "The Pea Giver". I've never seen any cat go this crazy over freshly shelled green peas. :-)
Amnesty: I've unblocked accounts (about 7,000) I had previously blocked. Happy Thanksgiving, and mainly be good for Santa!
@DavySunshine No, I didn't know that, and it's amazing how many people still keep the memory of Dan Patch alive. Seabiscuit move over... :-)
New @sciam article says Czech physicist Petr Hořava led us one step closer to understanding gravity http://www.scientificamerican.com/article...
@bob_calder It seems Dan Patch lived on in more than memory then... :-)
@MAMK And did you enjoy a famous Sachertorte http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... as a reward for being such a Viennese adventurer? :-)
100 years ago today the legendary record-breaking horse Dan Patch ran his last race in New Orleans: http://www.danpatch.com/default...
@autumnanderson I've watched one or two of the Stiglitz videos on the topic of globalization, he explains things clearly and thoroughly.
@quixotic So do you agree start-ups are possible (with VCs' involvement) outside of Silicon Valley? Perhaps even in Prague, Czech Republic?
@autumnanderson I'm not complaining. I was just reading various social media mavens' takes on being listed as the new "metric of influence".
I'm watching President Obama and Prime Minister Singh live on CNN. There are no surprises here, just speaking the language of diplomacy. :-)
@bbcworld highlights "bringing the success of Silicon Valley to Europe", since VC's and CEO's have been visiting Oxford. Come to Prague! :-)
@foursquare meet @friendfeed I think you could make beautiful music together... Well, at least hook up to FriendFeed as a service. :-)
@alexrudloff Any plans to add a "Listed" column to Twitterholic? I think it would be a really valuable thing to add at this point...
RT @flapic In the meantime you can import as RSS as I did (RT @PragueBob: @foursquare meet @friendfeed - hook up to FriendFeed as a service)
I'm often tickled, sometimes awed by the Twitter Lists I find myself on. Overall everyone has been kind. Only 1x not kind.
@cburell There have also been a number of observations made about the filming of this incident by conspiracy theorists over the years... :-)
I don't grok parity violation, but still wish a happy 83rd birthday to Nobel laureate Tsung-Dao Lee http://tdlee.ccast.ac.cn/eindex...
