Wipe your butt with Google
Google is not only the name of a major search engine (among lots of other things), but apparently, it’s also a brand of Vienamese toilet paper. According to Google translate, the text on the packaging says: “Very long, soft, smooth. Of high vacuum, because you always!” - Praveen Vasudev from Bookmarklet

Steve Jobs e-mails terse response to upset Apple developer - http://www.appleinsider.com/article...
When an emotional Mac developer wrote a lengthy e-mail about an issue to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, the multi-billionaire responded succinctly via his iPhone. - Praveen Vasudev from Bookmarklet
I think he gave a very appropriate response. The name DOES violate an Apple trademark and Apple is required by law to enforce that lest they lose their trademark. Changing the name of your app is not a big deal. It's not like Apple asked them to stop selling the application entirely. - Sparky, liker of beards
Apple has to defend its trademarks, and iPodRip seems to violate Apple's iPod trademark - since 2003. Seems like Steve's response is a bit late! - Bill Sodeman
Steve must have known this for sure! I have no idea what took him so long. Maybe it was because he got an opportunity (to do so) when Jon Devor sent him that mail. But his reply was brief, concise and put forward really well! - Praveen Vasudev

The Google Phone Is Very Real. And It’s Coming Soon - http://www.techcrunch.com/2009...
The next “super” Android device will almost certainly be a HTC phone that’s much thinner than even the Droid or iPhone – The Dragon/Passion. This is the phone the senior Android guys at Google are now carrying around and testing, at least as of a couple of weeks ago. If you’re willing to give up the Droid’s keyboard, the Dragon/Passion is going to be a really cool phone. It should be fully available very soon. - Praveen Vasudev from Bookmarklet

Hasselblad intros 50 megapixel H3DII-50 MS with multishot
The Hasselblad Multi-Shot System, available with 39 or 50 million pixel sensors, allows you to capture even the slightest nuance of every detail, with definition crisp and clear enough to satisfy the most demanding client or to bring artists, scientists and conservators closer to their subjects than ever. And all this detail is created within the camera, requiring no extensive post-production or alteration. The Hasselblad Multi-Shot System ensures that what was created is faithfully preserved, indoors or outdoors, shooting to CF card or directly to your computer, enabling perfect quality reproductions and securing these works for future generations. - Praveen Vasudev from Bookmarklet

Google Wave's Scrollbars - http://ignorethecode.net/blog...
Google Wave's Scrollbars
People have been using scrollbars for decades. They work the same on every popular platform. Unless there’s a compelling reason, it’s a bad idea to change how scrollbars work in your particular application. - Praveen Vasudev from Bookmarklet

I like them, too, actually. I like that they're trying new things, to be honest. - Chieze Okoye
I'm agree with you. Wave's scrollbars are fail. - Onur Gündüz
I don't like that default UI-elements are changed by any app. - Jemm
its different, slick and useful in a huge way. - Praveen Vasudev
I actually don't even use scrollbars, I always use my mouse wheel. Because it is useful :) Scrollbars just help me to find out where I am. And this is a default behaviour of mine, which works for any site on the Internet but Google Wave. They should reduce the elements if they want to make anything useful, or simpler. - Onur Gündüz
Honestly, I think that this is a bit overblown. I noticed the changed behavior of the Wave scrollbars when I saw it, and it took me all of 30 secs to comprehend the differences fully (and to be honest, I like it a lot more -- btw, that shadow thing isn't just there to be there, it also indicates and allows one to control the speed of the scroll, which, I think, is done intentionally much more smoothly than default OS scrolling). - Chieze Okoye
Also, like Onur, I (like most people on the internet, I would imagine) use scroll wheels as my default behavior (btw, Onur, my scrollwheel works just fine on Wave, and it affects whichever section I'm currently hovering my cursor over, as I generally expect). So the affect of this change would seem to be quite small in any case. - Chieze Okoye
if you use a scroll mouse to work with most of the time, you obviously get used to the scrollwheel. that's how it works everywhere. - Praveen Vasudev
Agree with Praveen - it is a bad idea to change how scrollbars look and feel from app to app. - TrafficBug
TrafficBug, I don't think that you actually read what Praveen has written very carefully. - Chieze Okoye
