I'll see your snowman and raise you an Igloo
RT @Jonee I'll see your snowman and raise you an Igloo http://www.flickr.com/photos... - this is fab!
@MJHaney the little train that could?
@paula6thlevel that's 1.6 cat-legs of snow!
@robinlayfield but how deep is the cat's leg? The standard 5 inches?
so far the official cat-leg length is 5 inches. I delight in the fact I have a spreadsheet called Catleg_Survey.numbers
@JULIANBRAY thank you kindly! That's a good sample size
@Jonee your work is done, he's a man
@Tracystubbs yes, those would be very short legs indeed!
@andypearson hmm, I did back leg, as cat was running away. And only up to leg pit but it's clear this needs more thought.
@rachelandrew we salute your sacrifice in the name of science
good people, snow depth is to be measured in cat-legs, so we need your cats' leg lengths to standardise. Send to @kathybragg pls and RT
@rachelandrew agreed. I made Random's leg 4.5 inches, but he wouldn't stand still. I think we need a twitter survey to find the standard
has traumatised Randomcat, but the snow is officially 1.5 inches deeper than a cat's leg-pit
@synx508 I do not! I have not measured the cat's leg length, merely the depth of the snow. Hand me the cat.
#uksnow SL6 9/10 - proper big flakes, poor visibility
#uksnow SL6 6/10 - appears to be settling again, slightly larger flakes, increased flake density
#uksnow SL6 5/10 - fairly small, but nevertheless indomitable, flakes. And a sky full of further snow.
@Jonee excellent, you went out with a ruler too, I don't feel so much of a dork now
according to my trusty steel rule, we've had 3.5 inches of snow so far. And most of that in the last 45 mins.
#uksnow SL6 6/10
@rachelandrew ah you see Random doesn't notice things for a good while, so it'll be the next day before he registers the snow
husband is eyeing up the snow tyres on my favourite bike. I think he's going to do something crazy like go outside.
@RoseberrysDream exactly. He's not called Random for nothing you know. He wanders.
is wondering where the daft stripy cat is. I'm imagining him encrusted with snow, trotting along, singing the Littlest Hobo theme song.
Pondering possible rules for Twitter #eyespy. Think would have to be local landmark and you'd need to tweet first part of postcode
I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with s.
