Pat Rice

Pat Rice

Misanthrope. Curmudgeon. Recluse. Generally irritating.
pzr has had enough weekend.
Watched some fireworks. (Sam was less afraid than last year.) Ate some cupcakes & ice cream. Rebooted a build machine. Is it bedtime yet?
The best thing about tonight's fireworks? They didn't play that Neil Diamond song.
pzr has been multitasking: fixed the build while holding a screaming three-year-old.
Newly-endumpster'd: Windows 95 / 98 / 2000; Encarta 2002; various Axim X30 crapware; etc., etc. (Belated spring-cleaning.)
Seems like whenever I use an uncommon word on Twitter, I get a few more followers.
Twitter searchbait: cenotaph ossifrage potrzebie.
pzr will not be playing Age of Empires for a while.
Happy birthday, Clementine! (Bichon is French for 'not a poodle'.)
Hm...commit my new code, or wait until Monday? I'm pretty sure it works, but if it doesn't...goodbye, nightly build. What to do, what to do.
pzr thinks 6:00am is entirely too early.
pzr hopes the amateur fireworks stop before midnight.
Party is over. Guests have gone, house is tidied, kids are asleep. Neighbors are shooting off bottle rockets (but not, one hopes, fingers).
Women are in the kitchen. Men are in the living room. Children are running around screaming. How traditional of us all.
Waiting for the party to start. Be a shame if nobody showed up & I had to eat all those cupcakes myself....
Sam says the computer is down. Gee, Sam, mine's working just fine....
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow - http://patrick-rice.net/daybook...
pzr wonders whether the rain will stop in time for the fireworks to go off as scheduled.
Fireworks postponed until Sunday.
Cupcakes are in the oven. Jennifer, Jake & Sam are loading the ice cream maker.
Slowly coming to realize that there were things I should have been doing for the last two hours, instead of messing about on the computer.
pzr feels better than yesterday.
pzr is being yelled at by a three-year-old.
Kids are in bed. Jake might be sleeping. Sam definitely is not.

Second try at gps-enabled lawn mowing, this time sampling at 1pt/5sec. More points, still doesn't look much like the pattern I walked.
My CompuServe ID was 71150,1216. My PLATO account was rice/pasrf.
More bad news for Mr. C______ - http://patrick-rice.net/daybook...
Neck is rather creaky today. Ouch.
pzr needs a new spine. The old one is wearing out.
