Wow. No mention of Biden's racism or anti net-neutrality, or the fact that even with her limited experience she still as more executive hours under her belt than Obama. - Russell Holliman
"If John McCain is counting on half of the country’s population to vote based on gender.." - no, he only needs like 10-15% of the Dem women to switch. :-D - Brent Ozar from twhirl
That's if he manages his Republican base, half of which will vote the way they always vote, regardless of who he or the running mate is. The other half though... this is the most uncallable election in history, methinks. - Michael W. May from twhirl
Oh, and as for the lack of mention of Biden: not seeing this a post about Biden. - Michael W. May
Not seeing any post about Biden, and he was announced first. And he's got a whole lot more wrong with him as a candidate IMHO. - Russell Holliman
Not seeing any Biden posts on your opinion blog either ;) - Michael W. May from twhirl
I'm not bashing anyone on my blog. I think I posted about one of Obama's policy statements though. And? Shall I dig up a few of Biden's racists statements? Or talk about how he's on record as wanting to tax the Internet? Or just talk about how much of a sell out Obama is for overlooking all of this? - Russell Holliman
Michael, I think the addition of Palin "shores up the base" as they say and will pull a lot of the other, undecided half to the polls for McCain. I agree though, whether it's enough is the big question. - Larry Huffman
Erin, there is a sizable portion of the "woman vote" that is pro-life. - Larry Huffman
I believe that was part of the two main reasons she was chosen: she's stanch pro-life and shores up the base in that way. The other is she's a woman and HRC wasn't chosen by Obama. That's politics. However, I do not believe she comes out ahead against Biden in the simple test of "picture each VP candidate taking over as Pres in what would be a crisis situation. Who do you want there?" But in end, the VPs are very, very minor players in this. - Michael W. May
I should point out I have talked about Biden before. And uh...I love the 'executive' spin. nice. - Erin @queenofspain
I missed Biden talk but I'll look again. As far as the spin goes, we probably should get used to that. It seems obvious to most and it going to be brought up everytime experience is mentioned. The other point that we'll hear I'm sure is that as VP she'd be gaining more, whereas Obama won't have that luxury. - Russell Holliman
