Quality of 3G bandwidth/service is truly a regional issue. It is fantastic here in Columbus, OH. It is frustrating how relatively little 3G coverage there is on major highways, though. It seems concentrated to urban areas, obviously.

It's not hard to see already how Android and iPhone will become the analog to Windows vs. Mac OS X. Android is all about choice, but will be significantly splintered due to overwhelming hardware choice and variations in OS version and customization.
