it's not desktop tool for me. It is webtool called diigo. It's integrated with browser both for taking notes on a web page(annotation) and retrieve them as bookmarks. Yes evernote has a nice OCR technology.

Adrienne: that's because you haven't seen what Evernote can do.
- Robert Scoble
Notepad. Viva la Old School! Yes. I'm serious.
- Art Lindsey III
Onenote most often, but Evernote is a good clip capture tool.

Evernote - use it every day. Notebooks need to have sections or chapters, and the Mac version needs to add audio recording, but otherwise it's great.
- Dean Terry
best notetaking for me is my moleskine for on hand, and jott when behind the wheel.
- sean808080
Notepad++ largely, but increasingly using Google Notebook.
- Derrick Burns
Evernote. mostly use it to keep track of real estate listings. (used to use OneNote--haven't opened it in months!)
- Jasmin Smith
Franklin organizer. Paper is the best.
- Victor Ryden
Jott for voice notes, Evernote for pictures and text but iPhone produces very blurry and unusable business cards with Evernote so far, needs a focus-adjuster app to be effective.
- Sally Church
Google Notebook. Trying to find practical uses of Evernote. It still doesn't seem to have a collaborating notebooks feature.
- Chris Chua
Evernote, has more flexibilty then Google Notebook. There are a few fearures I would like to added but it does the trick for me.
- Paul

evernote all the way. rich internet app with clients for most major PC and mobile platforms, and sync to cloud is quick and reliable. text deco of images is a nice bonus. they do need to spend some time observing the list features of OneNote and the search search ux of Spotlight - even the best apps can always improve.
- Jon Price
Right now it's Gmail and IMAP but I am playing with Evernote. I do have concerns though about trusting my info with your cloud. You're doing all the right things. It's just that you're new and I need to get to know you. I trust Gmail.
- Steve Rubel
Vim! In second place comes Mousepad. Third place is "cat - > note.txt".
- Rishabh Mishra (p248)
Evernote is a great service/app, but I still find I can write faster in OneNote.
- Rafe Needleman
Rafe: I'd be convinced if you could get me OneNote on my iPhone.
- Robert Scoble
Evernote + Reqall is a killer combo on the iPhone/Web/Everywhere
- Nicholas Molnar
Google Notebook on computer, Jott when mobile.
- Ian May
I love Google Notebook, need to find a good mobile alternative.
- Rahaf Harfoush
Honestly, a moleskine notebook and a decent pen. A recent development for me, but it's working great. I get WAY too distracted taking notes on a computer where there are so many fun things I could be doing with my spare seconds! :-)
- Josh Bancroft
I have a voice recorder on my mp3 player and on my phone, but I still mainly use a moleskine and a box of mechanical pencils. Old school, that's me.
- Steven Perez
While on foot, it's either my Nokia N95 8GB or my Moleskine, but with computer access it's either Evernote or Google Docs.

Mail.app. Comes pre-installed. Easy to use. Notes are synchronised across all of my devices (Mac Mini, MacBook and iPhone). Notes are also available online via MobileMe. I don't need to wait for any app to launch since I always have Mail.app running anyway.
- Paul Grav
Evernote is great but needs a printer driver and better inking. OneNote is king on TabletPC's for inking. Evernote is king for syncing.
- Andrew Forde

Evernote has great features, but I still find the desktop client a bit hard to use at times. Would like it a lot more if there was a proper app for my Symbian phone.

/agree with @Dukeswharf. An S60 client would be awesome. I've been trying to get the imap setup to work but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Did anyone else feel an Alias SD-6 vibe? And an Alias side in general. Overall I think this was my favorite one. I kind of think Topher is a doll, i mean he is too young to have all that knowledge. Thoughts??
The 'headquarters all over the globe' thing DID have an Alias vibe, nice observation. It hadn't occurred to me that Topher might be a doll - I think it's possible, especially seeing as um, neighbour chick turned out to be a doll - I had just pegged him as a mad scientist type. I often want to slap Topher for being such as jackass, but I also find him hot...oh, confusion!
- fn (fairnymph)
but it was obvious from day one that neighbor chick was a doll.
- Richard Lawler
Clearly I am blind...how was it obvious, Richard?
- fn (fairnymph)
What DIDN'T indicate that she was a doll? Her whole purpose from the first time she came on screen was to nuzzle up to FBI dude. The only time she ever looked anything less than a plant was when the message to Helo (I have no idea what his name on dollhouse is) referred to her as a civilian.
- Richard Lawler
She just seemed like a desperate woman to me, which is certainly believable enough. Do you mean the message embedded in Echo? Fucking TW screwed the portion of the ep from Echo entering the restaurant onwards. It's all choppy and the audio isn't clear. :(
- fn (fairnymph)
I was suspicious but only because Victor blindsided me, and then I lost my trust. Topher is a bit of a jackass, dare I say Xander-like? Although they cast the FBI dude to the letter, he makes my eyes cross, lol.
- Rahaf Harfoush
She was more than desperate, she was single mindedly pursuing him even when she didn't know who he was. You never, ever saw her do anything other than throw herself at him..cuz she was on mission. It was less obvious the russian guy is a doll, because what does helo think he's doing when he's not around?
- Richard Lawler
You were suspicious of neighbour bc Victor is a doll? Hmm I don't think Topher is that Xander-like, though they are both very nerdy. Xander is very caring/good, unlike Topher. What about Ballard aka Helo makes your eyes cross?
- fn (fairnymph)
Even though I knew victor was a doll from the cast picture, he looks so different when he's activated I didn't pick up on it, and was still confused a little even when he was "revealed" later on, but the first time they showed the neighbor and she was standing in the hall when Helo got home, waiting for him, I knew she was working for them.
- Richard Lawler
It would make sense that they imprinted Tohper with the knowledge of the "true" creator of the technology, so they could contain him. If there are multiple Dollhouses, it would also make sense that there are multiple Topher-types doing imprinting worldwide. For Topher to have to be the only one imprinting for the whole world would be rather time-consuming
- Nathan Chase
If Topher's a doll, why does he have an apprentice?
- Richard Lawler
@fairnymph I do love a tormented cop who kicks ass and runs around shirtless. He is just SO cute!
- Rahaf Harfoush
It woudl be awesome if they all had a topher-personality too.
- Rahaf Harfoush
Nathan, you make a good point. The multi-DH thing seems not-so-consistent with Topher's unique mastery of doll tech. I don't think having assistants to a doll (assistant could also be a doll) is unreasonable...although the assistant we've seen seems close enough to Topher in skill to make multiple techs more probable.
- fn (fairnymph)
Tahmoh should always be shirtless. :D Also, good point Rahaf - if Topher's a doll, why make him such a jackass?
- fn (fairnymph)
So that should take care of the idea that topher/handler/dollhouse head are actually dolls theory.
- Richard Lawler
Given the latest episode, and how the drug affected him, i think it ruled him out in being a doll.
- Mark "Rizzn" Hopkins
"I was the guy with the almost great idea - Floogle, and Blahoo!, and Facebooger." - the worst quote from the best episode of Dollhouse. - http://friendfeed.com/e...
I don't think we've seen him yet, all the suggestions so far, that he's echo's handler, or my own assumption that he's ballard, just don't make sense.
- Richard Lawler
I don't think we've seen him yet either, he would be recognizable to virtually any Dollhouse employee, and this rules out Ballard and all the other major characters.
- LogEx
I read an article on the web a couple of weeks ago that Alan Tudyk was going to be playing Alpha.
- Joey Gibson
So...did anyone else totally love the last episode? I finally feel some greatness coming on. Also, for kicks, some Myers-Briggs: DeWitt -ENTJ, Boyd -I?FJ, Ballard-INFJ, Topher -ENTP, Mr. Dominic -EST?
common build up, but love the characters ability to just be blank.
- fijidaddy
It took a bit to get here, but finally we get to zoom out and have some complexity. This was the best ep so far overall.
- LogEx
I loved it! I could tell something was up with neighbor, she didn't have much of a purpose otherwise!! "Moral Spanktitude" total Joss line!
- Rahaf Harfoush
I honestly thought the neighbour was just going to be a sort of romantic foil for Ballard, so I was very pleased when she turned out to be more than that. I really like the idea of more long-term dolls and I'd wondered why that issue hadn't come up.
- fn (fairnymph)
the less dushku is on the screen, the better the show is.
- Richard Lawler
Also, i should just mention that i lved the Myers Briggs, lol.
- Rahaf Harfoush
Unfortunately I agree to a large extent. I want more DeWitt.
- fn (fairnymph)
Yeah no kidding! She seems to have a special bond with Echo, I would like to see some of the other actives on missions.
- Rahaf Harfoush
this was the break through episode, for sure. It went from echo of the epsidoe to a real dollhouse storyline - a lot of questions raised and some real intrigue and character development. Dewitt, rocks. :)

Only if you're counting wages earned by blogging. Bloggers come from all walks of life/economic classes. What would be the benefit of knowing this information?
- cecily
Cecily, sorry - yes, I mean professional bloggers in particular. Thank goodness bloggers in general come from all walks of life!
- Marshall Kirkpatrick
Cool, thanks for the clarification, Marshall. :)
- cecily
That's a great idea! Count me in. Although I agree about the need for specific definition of wages. :)
- Rahaf Harfoush
from twhirl
Marshall, you might also ask if fee ranges are staying the same during economic crisis or dropping, and by how much; and if it's taking longer for clients to sign off on new projects, are projects getting shorter in duration. I've seen people tweet about these issues, which are probably more relevant for social media consultants than professional bloggers, who have other issues, such as getting sponsors.
- Cathryn Hrudicka
I do wonder about this, outside looking in.
