Put cereal in plastic bins and static will hold the dust in. Also prevents bug infestations.

It would be cool if they made plastic bins with some sort of filter at the bottom that you could use to empty out the crumbs/dust. I have a popcorn bucket that has a removable plate at the bottom with small holes in it, so all of the unpopped kernels fall through. A similar concept for cereal (with a way to open and empty the bottom, obviously) would be good. Might not work with cereals like cocoa pebbles or grape nuts, but would probably work well for larger cereals.

If prototypes (especially molded plastic), patents, research, etc. wasn't so darned expensive, I'd think about developing something like that.
