I love this image. It was true then, and it's true now. Real goods, real manufacturing, real products are what make a country healthy, wealthy and wise, not crap virtual schemes that speculate upon financial bullshit. Image found via (http://www.cosmictap.com/syste...) - Raoul Pop via Bookmarklet

such a crook! - BeeLing
What makes it even more frustrating is that the bastard just left an insulting comment on my post, after I gave him a chance by not revealing his real name. His comment didn't make it live, but still, it shows that I was too nice. I'm still mulling it over, but I may reveal his full name and his home address, too. - Raoul Pop
If you paid by credit card, or even funded your paypal account with your credit/debit card you can dispute it through them and get your money back. Paypal does not fight credit card disputes so it should be relatively easy to get your money back. You were cheated and you need to get your money back. - Jason Shultz
Seriously, for a "new" phone to be in that condition you would have had to take it outside and run over it in your car a couple of times and then drop it in a lake or bay. Even then, it would take a minimum of a week for the phone to come out in that condition! The guy's being dishonest: I hope you get all your money back! - vicster
Interestingly enough, adam81578 had a similar experience with a buyer back in 2006. "Sold me a USED item as new. Had many excuses. Beware" Adam's response: "IT IS BRAND NEW ...she can't set it up to receive ringtones or internet BEWARE" - Ontario Emperor

It's weird, it's not like he didn't notice Obama, he tapped him to get his attention, then it almost looked like he (McCain) passed him off to his wife..awkward. - cmiper

“God I hope Obama wins. The more I look at the Republican candidates, the more I realize they're racist, full of contempt for those who would hold to the rational side of things, using religion as a political tool, exploiting anger and fear in order to manipulate the masses. They are despicable.”

Got it a couple of days ago. I love playing it on my iPod Touch. Does anyone else here play it, and do they have a favorite cart? I love the Geode Cruiser, and am currently on the Medieval circuit. - Raoul Pop
Okay, got through all the levels in the game with 1st place in each. The Atlantis level is pretty interesting, as both X and Y axis movements control the sub. I really like this game. It's so much fun: the game play, the sound effects, the music... :-) - Raoul Pop

Drives for? Video, audio, porn? - Paul W. Swansen
Paul, you don't know me, so don't make rude guesses. I'm a photographer, and I back up my photos to my Drobo. I also record old movies and cartoons (20s, 30s, 40s) from TV and store them on the Drobo. I've also digitized our library of VHS tapes and DVDs and put those on the Drobo as well. Now when my wife and I want to watch something, we just browse the Drobo and play it. - Raoul Pop
What is your total storage up to now and how much of that is used on replication. - CJPhoto
No I don't and yes it was flippant. I apologize. How does this compare to commercially available storage or pass through (ie: Netflix Roku or Vudu) for content storage and playback. - Paul W. Swansen
Note to self: need Drobo for video, audio, and porn. - flammable
CJPhoto, I have well over 5TB of storage right now. I haven't added everything up lately, but that's where it was the last time (see this http://www.raoulpop.com/2008/0...). This is available storage, not total storage, btw, which is bigger, since the Drobo has redundancy built in. Paul, not sure what you mean by commercially available storage, but as for the pass-through stuff, I'd rather have the content locally, available for playback at any time. I like Roku though, it's nice. - Raoul Pop
How much does it hold? - Shey
i desperately neeeeeeeed one of these - Chris Farrugia
Raoul, how about noise? is it noticeable? do you connect it directly to your PC or how do you browse it? - Juan Pablo González
Want. - Brad Brooks
Nice Raoul! Feel my envy. The Drobo is on my Must Buy List, currently holding steady in the 2nd position. Its looking like it may make it home around Xmas time. - Carlos Ayala
Shey, it holds as much as you want it to hold. It's only limited by the current hard drive capacities, since it can only hold 4 drives. Juan, if the Drobo functions correctly, it does make a little noise but nothing that distracts. After all, there are four hard drives in there, and they need to be cooled. I have noticed that if you get a bad unit, the fans will make more noise than usual, and may go into overdrive mode, where they rotate at faster speeds than they need to. In that case, get a replacement. - Raoul Pop
I should mention I wrote a detailed review of the Drobo last year. It's still good reading if you've got about 10 minutes: http://www.raoulpop.com/2007/1.... - Raoul Pop
Damn, and I thought I was a glutton at 2 TB available storage. - Eric
I love my drobo, one of the best purchases I made last year. I just had one of my 500GB drives die on me this past weekend. Red light flashed on the drobo and a warning box pops up. I removed the drive, went to Best Buy and bought a new 1TB drive and popped it into the drobo. Zero downtime plus now I have more storage. - Mark Anderson
I can't wait for the promised iTunes integration. I have my Drobo here now, but haven't had the time (or money) to get some harddrives. Yeah, yeah, I know... ;-( - Holger Eilhard
Had a dream about terabytes last night. - Mike Reynolds
does anyone know if these can be bought in europe? - Chris Farrugia
@Chris - You can get them in Germany and their PR department is actually in the UK, so I guess it's at least available there too. - Holger Eilhard

You know what I think? I think they're going to come back and ask for more money. And more money. And more money. And in the end, the dollar's going to be worth bupkis. See this post (and the video discussed in the post) to see why: http://www.dignoscentia.com/20.... - Raoul Pop via Bookmarklet
