キャリア泣かせのiPhoneだけど、Softbankはお陰で好調らしい。／でも、売り上げ高が1.5%しか増えてないのに、経常利益で47.9%増ってコトは、iPhoeとは無関係に徹底的にコスト圧縮の活動により利益率が高まったと見るべきのような気もする。

主な要因は設備投資圧縮に伴う費用減とかかねえ。まあ iPhone だと営業経費かけなくても売れるってのはあるのかもしれない。

販売奨励金のお陰で粗利が薄いのに、それほど数が捌けるわけでもない、いわば薄利少売なところがキャリア泣かせみたい。回線負荷も高い端末だしなぁ。／とはいえ、キャリアが「やーめた」をしちゃったらAppleも困るハズ。そのあたり、どういう形で整合していくのかなぁ。まさか、世界中のキャリアを、ジョブズの歪曲空間に取り込むわけにもいくまいしなぁ。

標準規格もHTML5みたいにほとんどOSS実装ありきで進むようになってきたから、楽観的に考えれば収束しやすいかも。優しい原理主義者達モデル

個人的には、HTML5がどうなるかとか、Webkitが標準であるからすばらしいかどうかとかは、どうでもよくて、この人の論点が、Webkitが標準であってi-mode JavaScript/DOMは標準でない、ってのはどうしようもなく間違ってるのであって、つっこみたいのはそこだけですね、はい。

NetFrontは3.3あたりからDOMサポート、3.4からAjaxサポートでして、型番で言うと812SHあたりからDOMが動き、922SHあたりからXHRも動きます

GLOBEの記事は、なんか面白いなぁ。少なくとも Web の側からみたときには、そう見える。どうやらフィードを吐いてない様子なのは、ちょいと気に入らないけど。／インタビューの結びのコトバが妙に刺さる。「50年後、幸せになってると思いますか？」と問われて答えはイエス, でも「自分の興味があることに簡単にコネクトできるようになるんだから。ただし、賢くなっているかどうかはわからない」と。単純に、テクノロジの進歩と人間の賢さは別物だというアタリマエのコトを言ってるのか、あるいは"Is Google making us stupid?"的な視点なのか。

Twitter is a complete disaster for me, since Jan 30. I can't see updates anymore, just one every 1-3 hours from new people I follow, and have other issues. Still no answer from help desk. What if I had to work with Twitter?
