Woman’s yard sale to pay medical bills gets shut down - Let me be clear: this isn't about the yard sale. Well, in a sense, it is about the yard sale. How dare any country force a person with terminal bone cancer to hold an effing yard sale in order to stay alive? This is savage, cruel, and anti-life. ~dailykos.com - http://amplify.com/u/a1bj1e

I am in need of a washer and dryer. I was living in an apartment which included the washer and dryer but due to an serious knee injury I am unable to climb stairs and I am going to be having knee reconstruction surgery on May 13. I have been using the laundry mat but once I have the surgery I will be unable to walk for some time and unable to drive and that will leave me with no way to do laundry. I have two teenage boys so you can imagine the laundry that is already piling up as the laundry mat is expensive

I feel that the love of strangers and those that have given out of the kindness of their heart. I will definatly "pay it forward", and help those in need whenever it possible. Thank you for your help and the care that you give to others and fullfill needs. The money that I received will help us out tremendously with our trip and maintenence to make sure that there will be no problems on our trip. The generousity of all you "angels" gives me hope that life will indeed move forward for my family and that there are people that love one another with the sole purpose of being a good human being. My Mom & I are searching for my sister who has been missing nearly 8years. We are seeking help being reunited. - http://www.microgiving.com/profile...
Hi! I'm Rebecca and I've made this profile for my Mom & I, in hopes we can gather enough funds for travel expenses to New Orleans, La. We have been searching for my sister, Alissa, who has been missing since she was 15. She is now 22 yrs old and we haven't seen or spoke to her since. But we have learned she is living in the French Quarter in New Orleans, w/ her two kids(my Mom's only grand babies)!! Only problem is we haven't been able get in contact w her. I've gotten addresses & phone numbers, and spoke to people who claim they know her, but still, no Alissa. I believe the only thing left to do is go there and find her for ourselves. However, we cannot afford to go, I am unemployed, and my Mom is the single support for our family, just making ends meet. My Purpose I am dedicated to reuniting my family. My sister has been missing nearly 8 years and it has caused a tremendous heart ache, but the pain I see my Mom go through everyday hurts even more. I want nothing more than to fill the huge hole in my Mom's heart and I will not stop trying until I do!!!

Little Marty was in a neglectful home till Amber and Brad took him away and brought him to a vet. They are both young college students, one is employed part time. The vet treated little Marty for a prolapsed anus caused by heavy infestation of worms. Unfortunately the surgical repair did not hold, there was far more damage and he requires a surgical procedure called a coloplex if he is to survive. Without this surgery little Marty will have to be put to sleep. The surgery is estimated at $3500 and the only surgical vet who can perform the surgery is not willing to take money down. He wants it all up front. The family has been paying out of pocket for Marty's stabilizing care to keep him alive until funds can be raised for surgery, but they can't keep him alive AND raise funds at the same time. Can you help little Marty get this surgery?

About 5 years ago my Drivers License expired, because I didn't have all my identification documents that were needed at the time. Eventually, I bought all of them and when we moved to Virginia 2 years ago to care for my inlaws, those documents were misplaced. I need a DL or State ID in order to work. I also just enrolled into college to get a Digital Design Diploma, and need to provide a valid ID, the state ID I currently have, went dead in April. I need to get a Birth Certificate, Marriage License and Divorce Papers from my ex-husband, as well as, marriage license to my husband now. I have to show all my name changes and why my name changed over the years. Any help with paying to get these documents would help in me two ways. I can't obtain work without a valid Id, and I need it for school. Also, I really need a Driver's License. Lois has submitted all documentation needed to verify her identity and need for assistance on MicroGiving.

Melissa was diagnosed with factor v leiden and a blood clot and pulmanary embolism. Due to her ilness she has to go to the doctor every two weeks for a PT INR and a CBC count. The PT INR is to make sure her blood is in a safe range. Her insurance only covers part of her medical expenses and even though she has insurance she still has to pay high co-pays. Plus, her insurance will not cover things like ultrasounds and frequent testing for blood work. Melissa is a single parent of two beautiful children. She needs help covering some of her medical expenses so she can continue to provide a roof over her children's head and food on the table. What is Factor V Leiden thrombophilia? It is an inherited disorder of blood clotting. Factor V Leiden is the name of a specific mutation (genetic alteration) that results in thrombophilia, or an increased tendency to form abnormal blood clots in blood vessels. People who have the factor V Leiden mutation are at somewhat higher than average risk for a...

Judy Hamilton This is not Hamilton's first foray into politics. She ran against District 83 Rep. Don Smith in 2008 and lost. She believes this time will be different because Council District 5 represents a smaller area, and she is more familiar with "hometown" issues. One of those issues is older adult care. Baby boomers (generally those born in the 1950s) are part of an aging population, Hamilton said, and there are a lack of accessible services to accommodate them, as evidenced by waiting lists for Meals on Wheels and Best Friend Express for people who use the buses to get to medical appointments. She wants to make sure the youth of this area get a good education because they will be taking care of the aging population. Hamilton, 45, believes that what separates her from several of the other candidates is the fact she is not a business woman. "I'm an employee," she said. "That's what most of Aiken County is. What we will be dealing with affects the working man." She is a licensed medical social worker with Aurora Pavilion.

I know Judy personally and have volunteered along side Judy at several benefit events. I know she cares much for the disabled and elderly in our community and will work hard to help us. I also know she understands what it's like to live on regular working persons paycheck in our area and because I know her to be a real person, a friend, approachable and honestly caring of the working person as well as the disabled and elderly...I know I can trust her.

Medical bill on our 4 month old puppy to pay for her broken leg. Her leg had to be pinned, plated and a wedge inserted due to a previous break while owned by the petshop we bought her from, which didn't tell us about her leg ever being broken. We owned her for 1 week when we found out due to her leg breaking in the same spot again. Pet shop will not help us with bill even though surgeon places original break while under thier care. We have 1 year to raise money when the bill becomes due.
