I'm wondering: How many feeds are you, guys, following? (Just an idea of the average) - directeur
I follow more than 600. - Robert Scoble
I follow about 90 feeds. I kicked out a lot of useless stuff lately. - sebmos
Reader says 168, but there's probably a dozen or two in there that will drop off next pruning session. - felix
I dont know how you can follow more than 600 feeds, I just have 25 feeds and it's already difficult to read everything interesting. - Guerwan
1 feed ----> Robert Scoble's shared items in Google Reader ;-) - Erhan Erdogan
Wow! That much? I'm just following 45 feeds. - directeur
Which brings to me another question: You newsaholics :) Are you reading the news as soon as you are prompted by your feedreader or have you a certain descipline in reading them? - directeur
maximal 50, if there is a new one, an old one must go - Philipp Mertens
Robert, it was a video you did a while back about your Google Reader habits that really got me into heavy-duty reading. I follow 395 feeds now, but a few seem to be dormant. - Harvey Simmons
Robert: Guerwan is right, how do you guy follow them all? You're I bet missing many things, don't you? - directeur
directeur: I read them when I can now. I'm definitely spending more of my time here in FriendFeed that I used to in Google Reader. - Robert Scoble
About 200 - Deepak
...well, mine is only 20; I guess that's the difference between those in the web/internet industry and those of us who are not. :-) - JA Castillo
I recently lost all my feeds (500+) in NetNewsWire. And started to look for a new feed reader, here is a quick review, as a power user why I can't use current RSS readers... http://blog.burak-arikan.com/l... - Burak Arikan
Robert: I see, why don't you create an imaginary friend with most of the feeds you usually read? - directeur
Does it work with Firefox 3.0 ? - Jigar Mehta
basically I look at all new posts in list view and scroll down and expand only the interesting ones. I star ones i want to remember (or one's I want to go back and read if I don't have enough time) and go on. Mark all as read as I go. - felix
JA Castillo: I have 45 and I'm a webdevelopper. Internet is my life, my job, my hobby :) - directeur
I recently (couple weeks ago) deleted all my feeds (probably 450-475 or so) and recreated my OPML file... so, as of this morning, I've got 177. - Kenneth LeFebvre
I have tried with Firefox 3.0 and it works like charm!! enjoy! - Jigar Mehta
What we need is a GOOD OPML tool to arrange / slice / dice feed lists. Reader sucks for this, and no good OPML editors seem liek they exist. - Soulhuntre via twhirl
I was up to 233, then just cut it back to 60 last night - I was just scrolling past a lot of them anyway. A fair number of my feeds are personal feeds or group feeds that I manage for vandalism or spam: forum admin; wiki Special:Recentchanges; blog comments; etc. I'm looking forward to building up my feeds list with stuff I want to read, not just every shiny orange RSS feed icon I see... - Kirk Kittell
I read around 450 feeds (probably 50 of those are comment feeds which come/go) - Aaron B. Hockley
Soulehuntre: Good point!! I can make this! Are you interested? :) - directeur
Very interested, awesomly interested. It needs to understand the Google Reader idea of a feed being in multiple folders and allow for some sort of easy arrangement. The usual stuff, ya know? - Soulhuntre via twhirl
Soulhuntre: ok, I'll be building it in my spare time :) Thanks for the idea, I'll keep you informed - directeur
@directeur - Landscape architect myself; internet and web stuff (photography too!) are my addictions. - JA Castillo
Personally, I just use the greasemonkey scripts, and skip adding another extension. They're all on userscripts.org - Tanath
250+ feeds - Michael VanDervort
I'm following about 90 feeds. About 60% to 70% of those are work related, but I don't read them at work... :) - Alexander Rode via fftogo
I follow about 150 feeds and just 'J - Francine Hardaway

Yes. It gets out of order based on comments. If you comment on something it pushes it back up to top. - Robert Scoble
Likes seem to do the same too... - James Spinks via twhirl
Robert is correct. Another factor is if, for instance, a blog post was posted 30 minutes ago, and FriendFeed just got it. A "tweet" from Twitter that came after the post would have been indexed more quickly and show up in the stream as having come "before" the post. - Louis Gray
Robert is correct, plus the comments aren't time stamped so it isn't readily apparent. - Russellreno
@Louis I'm pretty sure that FF puts things in datetime order based on the 'published' date in the RSS feed (or API data) if available. I found this once when I put the wrong date on a new post & it turned up 5 hours in the past as soon as FF picked it up! - Glenn Slaven
seems like FF should add a timestamp visibly to comments? - Jeremy Toeman
"Likes" on really-old stuff (e.g. Apr 7, Apr 14) don't seem to pop-up articles. Nice job, FriendFeed. Neither do "unlikes" and deleting comments. Also, sometimes there are 45-60 min delays from Picasa & Del.icio.us. Othertimes FriendFeed grabs immediately. This can cause out-of-order posts. - Mitchell Tsai
yes, last night it said a flickr photo i favorited at 11:30 pm was favorited on Tuesday at 7pm. - edythe

Pretty sure that's a Flickr issue. They only put the most recent 20 pictures in the feed. - Dave Winer
Dave, but I've seen some with more than 20 and still it should reflect the last 20 faved. Last night when I faved 70 or so it didn't show any of them. - Thomas Hawk
Thomas: did you see this post: http://friendfeed.com/e/d76d52... the author says that last.fm is driving a lot more traffic to his photos than anything else. - Robert Scoble
Robert: I did. That's some sort of anomaly. Right now FF produces very little traffic to photos though. My traffic on Flickr (about 10-15k a day) 62% from Flickr, 22% direct traffic, 3% from Google, 2% from my blog, 1% from image search at Google, 1% from image search at Yahoo, everything else less than 1%. FF less than 1%. - Thomas Hawk
I'm seeing those Flickr "photo not available" thumbnails via the direct RSS feed as well, not a FF-specific issue. - Aaron B. Hockley
Thomas, I've had problems across the board with Friendfeed and integration with Amazon, Flickr, Vimeo, and others. Very unreliable. RSS works and so does Twiiter however. - Dion Hinchcliffe via twhirl
@Scoble and Thomas to clarify, those figures weren't my top referrers, just the 4 I cared about for the purposes of that comparison. Last.fm is actually about 5th on my list. - James Spinks
I have favourited a couple recently and not seen it recognised here either! - Joe Dawson
My one problem is that it always shows my Amazon.com column as posted eight hours before it actually was. Figured it just makes me look proactive. - Ryan Brenizer
If we could get a meeting with the Flickr people who work on their feeds we could work this out in short order. When they designed their RSS interface no one knew how it would be used. Now we have a much better idea. We need this for Switchabit too. There's a better policy that would work better for everyone, and not hurt Flickr. - Dave Winer
I don't mind FF having lots of hiccups with Flickr right now. The potential is there and I'm sure in time that they will get it right. Number one new integration I'd like to see would be the ability to follow group conversations at flickr by person. Right now there is no way to follow someone's group posts in Flickr. It would rock if you could do this on FF. - Thomas Hawk

Installing and setting up Siteminder Webagents can be a tricky business, not helped by generally poor documentation (lots of it, but all over the place, out of date and way more complex than it needs to be for most people) and a less than responsive suppo - James Spinks
