Hi, just rejoined. NFC should be used to cheaply identify objects and once your smartphone discovers it, you get a custom menu for the object. It takes "Internet of Things" to a new level.. If everything is tagged, your smartphone can get you instant help buying things that are tagged, fixing things that are tagged, serving up FAQs, etc. Or "connect me to my social network friends that know about this object." As storage improves, NFC will eventually dynamically populate menus and actual apps in a smartphone. - Charlie Isaacs
