Instagram has valuable data for Facebook and the fact it's actually a mobile app. Something that Facebook isn't that good about right now. I mean, when was the last time you guys uploaded a photo to Facebook via FB app.

Google AdWords does not give searchers the control to interact with ads that Facebook provides. Facebook is also improving advertisers' tools every day. On mobile: there's a big difference between phones and tablets. Me thinks that tablets will allow much better monetization than phones. One example: Buying image rights right from 500px.

Most of my friends use Twitter for that. Like: Best restaurants or hotels in south Italy...etc. Friend's recommendation is more valuable than search.

Apple is certainly not skeptical about advertising (TV, billboards, etc.). These things must be done delicately, or you'll ruin the spell.
