This is another article about antibiotic resistance which interests me because it has become such a problem for the health world at the moment. It is something widely researched because otherwise it would make the discovery of antibiotics which was one of the most important medical breakthroughs, redundant. The article is called: " Antibiotic resistance and its cost: is it possible to reverse resistance?" It comes to the conclusion that the study of bacterial fitness is important to assessing their ability to become resistance to antibiotics as low bacterial fitness leads generally to resistance. It covers the possibility that resistance could be reversed but this development will be slow.
