Discussion About YungSang Rejaw XML Viewer
This is the Rejaw N.E.T XML file http://cid-dba9b6894d17dc21.sk... - Avatar X from FriendFoo
got it. - YungSang from FriendFoo
a 2.7 mb XML file!!!! hahaha - Avatar X from FriendFoo
that alone cracks me up - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Oh it's nice. already an individual file. - YungSang from FriendFoo
biggest XML file ever!! - Avatar X from FriendFoo
put just 1 line. - YungSang from FriendFoo
Let me try. - YungSang from FriendFoo
yeah. does that means that danny corrected the file or that somehow the first one got corrupted and spliced? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
the original one was madness. 54,000+ 1k xml files 0_0 i was like: this cannot be right... - Avatar X from FriendFoo
doesn't work.. - YungSang from FriendFoo
too big uh? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
It doesn't seem to run XSL. hmm - YungSang from FriendFoo
well. now you got another mistery. i cannot make it open without jamming the netbook in a xml viewer.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
still unzipping the previous file. - YungSang from FriendFoo
tried with one but as i said...a 2.7mb xml file!!!! - Avatar X from FriendFoo
that is kinda like rendering a feed with 10,000+ snippets that vary in length and content. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
pretty much a good analogy i think. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
unzipped. - YungSang from FriendFoo
will try. - YungSang from FriendFoo
ok - Avatar X from FriendFoo
but IE8 does renders it in the raw perfectly.. something is something - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Looks good for a small file. http://yungsang.com/rejaw... - YungSang from FriendFoo
BTW, why do you have this file? it seems the others...??? - YungSang from FriendFoo
what do you mean? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
no your name in that page. - YungSang from FriendFoo
because i was a special user man..:P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
lol you might faved it? - YungSang from FriendFoo
i guess you never read when i told kenn that i have figured out a way to read every single shout i rejaw without or without following the user - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i could do that for whispers too for that matter but i am a good guy - Avatar X from FriendFoo
;) - Avatar X from FriendFoo
he- - YungSang from FriendFoo
ok - YungSang from FriendFoo
it was downright cleverness. like figuring out how stupidly simple was to copy a gamecube disk. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
That's it. - YungSang from FriendFoo
or copying a protected vhs with a old tv - Avatar X from FriendFoo
ah good times.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
that's it? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
@YungSang umm? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
We found that the big file is no good for this. - YungSang from FriendFoo
I gave up your N.E.T. file. Sorry. - YungSang from FriendFoo
it is ok..i am trying out something.. rendering it on expression web by adding a web template and a CSS - Avatar X from FriendFoo
in theory it should work..since it opened in a breeze as raw - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Deleted your files. - YungSang from FriendFoo
ok then. will lock them up in skydrive now then. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
done - Avatar X from FriendFoo
good night. - YungSang from FriendFoo
expression web won't let me since i have to built the template, etc, etc first and the load it without any guarantee it will work - Avatar X from FriendFoo
did you used a XSL stylesheet? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
or it is just CSS in the output for your viewer? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
? what do you mean? - YungSang from FriendFoo
XSL + CSS + JS - YungSang from FriendFoo
can you lend me the files? i think that visual studio does is able to build it up easily - Avatar X from FriendFoo
sure - YungSang from FriendFoo
ok. it is fun to play around. otherwise the only easy thing to do is to convert it to document - Avatar X from FriendFoo
from there a word out can be then done and if i want to i can load elements one by one. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
(not that i would want too) - Avatar X from FriendFoo
sent DM - YungSang from FriendFoo
saw the notification - Avatar X from FriendFoo
thanks - Avatar X from FriendFoo
you're welcome. - YungSang from FriendFoo
downloaded - Avatar X from FriendFoo
you are going to sleep then? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Good Night for you friend - Avatar X from FriendFoo
yeah. going to. - YungSang from FriendFoo
Thanks. you, too. - YungSang from FriendFoo
can we send direct messages from friendfoo? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
nope. only get it. - YungSang from FriendFoo
ah - Avatar X from FriendFoo
ok, good night - Avatar X from FriendFoo
no API for DM yet. - YungSang from FriendFoo
solved it. it were some damn non standard simbols that messed up with the transformation. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
well. more like Visual Studio told me so :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
edited it and then loaded the XSL and rendered it - Avatar X from FriendFoo
went to the store and came back. so the actual rendering time was just 7 minutes. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
more than enough proof that it rendered all the thread and with elements. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Nice! - YungSang from FriendFoo
>>72: What kind symbol? It might be my bug? - YungSang from FriendFoo
Thanks. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
No, it was a series of unsupported symbols in three different comment inside the thread. they are part of the xml so they appear as blockspaces (empty squares) - Avatar X from FriendFoo
those pretty much can fuck up any translation/conversion/transformation - Avatar X from FriendFoo
>>84: I see. - YungSang from FriendFoo
Thanks for the big test. :) - YungSang from FriendFoo
it pissed me off. i was not going to let it beat me. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
you did retried with the fixed file? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Nope. Should I? I think that I don't need to do so. and will take sooo long :p - YungSang from FriendFoo
heh, yeah. i mean it took 7-10 minutes for visual studio 2008 to do it locally = crazy.. it was as if was compiling something.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
lol - YungSang from FriendFoo
funny enough i did tried it iterasi..told it to save the whole thread - Avatar X from FriendFoo
XML -> XHTML by XSL then string -> link and media by JS - YungSang from FriendFoo
received a automated message in the service : please do not try to save pages with more than 1000 elements. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i LOLed - Avatar X from FriendFoo
wwww - YungSang from FriendFoo
but did saved the last view https://www.iterasi.net/Viewer... - Avatar X from FriendFoo
oh damn. it is not public.. wait - Avatar X from FriendFoo
need an account? - YungSang from FriendFoo
BTW, The FriendFeed real-time API doesn't lost any comments so far. Nice! - YungSang from FriendFoo
yeah. you do need a account.. oh well. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i remember that it used to let anyone see.. weird. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Hmm. Is it good? - YungSang from FriendFoo
iterasi??. it is incredible - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Ok. let me try. - YungSang from FriendFoo
you bookmark a page and it saves the page in the state you saw it when you bookmarked it - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Sounds nice. - YungSang from FriendFoo
Signed up - YungSang from FriendFoo
yeah. it is a very good Asp.net app made by pete grillo. inventor of wesync and founder of protools - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Pete Grillo has been active in Portland-area high-technology firms for more than 20 years. In 1997, Pete founded WeSync.com, a venture-backed Web and wireless data synchronization company. WeSync.com became widely recognized for its innovation and advanced technologies, which lead to its acquisition by Palm, Inc. in February 2001. Previously, Pete co-founded ProTools, Inc., a venture-backed developer of network management applications, which was acquired by Network General, and co-founded DWB Associates, a software-consulting firm. In May of 2007, Pete formed iterasi, Inc. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
>>98: "The page that you are trying to view was intended for a different iterasi user." - YungSang from FriendFoo
don't know why iterasi has not gotten bigger or made it better so far.. i guess it is because he is doing it by himself.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
what?.. that is so dumb.. i guess i have my answer there. will check it out.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
any way to share it in the site? - YungSang from FriendFoo
so you cannot see the page? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
can't - YungSang from FriendFoo
i will check. i am on it.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
umm. it accepts sending by e-mail.. what account you use? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
"MARK THE RESULTING ARCHIVE AS PRIVATE" ? - YungSang from FriendFoo
gmail? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
sent. WTH.. i don't remmeber iterasi having these kind of fucked up requirements..will send a e-mail to them. this is idiotic - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Got it. - YungSang from FriendFoo
Nice. very last moment... - YungSang from FriendFoo
it is a shame. no wonder it is not known.. a shame because there is really nothing like it - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i mean. with regular bookmarking you never know when the pages are gonna break, change or dissapear. this solves that. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Nice. >>128: - YungSang from FriendFoo
>>129: works. - YungSang from FriendFoo
oh. so there is a open version. but it is not intuitive.. and not stated in the dashboard... - Avatar X from FriendFoo
so. you liked it? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i saved several rejaw pages. i wish i had done the same with pownce.. :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
I saw it in the page you sent. Liked. - YungSang from FriendFoo
I've already done several pages, too. - YungSang from FriendFoo
the old fashion way? offline pages? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Nice!!! - YungSang from FriendFoo
it did made me wish i would have seed whole rejaw with a domain extractor.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
lol - YungSang from FriendFoo
yeah. if you have favorites this is a perfect way to save those shouts.. :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Go to Rejaw API pages. :p - YungSang from FriendFoo
in my experience it can tolerate up to 500-1500 depending elements - Avatar X from FriendFoo
500-1500 replies - Avatar X from FriendFoo
I see. - YungSang from FriendFoo
It's really good. Don't need my XSL. :) - YungSang from FriendFoo
iterasi rocks, but the N.E.T is on another level - Avatar X from FriendFoo
it had it queue for 24hrs and tried one time every hr. it has a tolerance of 10 minutes of load = not a chance - Avatar X from FriendFoo
:D :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i bet the system thought i was trying to overload them or something.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
in my case. so quick. nice. - YungSang from FriendFoo
a yes. it is super quick - Avatar X from FriendFoo
UI is a little bit old style. - YungSang from FriendFoo
you know what it would be cool? since it has a bookmarklet? a script so it instantly saves every page loaded in a browser on demand.. :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
:P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
that would give "saving a browser session" a whole other meaning.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
instantly save and can organize. - YungSang from FriendFoo
But I wish I could play it like gmail. - YungSang from FriendFoo
yeah, the development is kinda slow on iterasi.. a small update a month.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
that is why i think it is a pete grillo pet project..a retirement one i guess since he got money after those two nice company sales. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
pete grillo pet? - YungSang from FriendFoo
they also got toolbars. will try them again to see if they have been upgraded - Avatar X from FriendFoo
>111 - Avatar X from FriendFoo
I see. interesting. - YungSang from FriendFoo
there was a service i liked called webaroo. it had a cangaroo as mascot.. it made something like this by saving the entire pages locally and just adding a way to render them in a orderly fashion. it was pretty much a mix of iterasi with a old school extractor.. it was a web 1.0 dotcom - Avatar X from FriendFoo
heh.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
it could be said that iterasi is the web 2.0 version of the original webaroo - Avatar X from FriendFoo
he- - YungSang from FriendFoo
mine. will load something here soon. it is a app review blog - Avatar X from FriendFoo
web app, desktop apps, services.. a mix of download squad with mashable but with actual researching and testing. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
:P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
OK. subscribed. - YungSang from FriendFoo
i think that i must do so as a way to vent.. after all who test more software than me? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
by the way you saw jetpack from mozilla right? i saw it and it is kinda like greasemonkey and stylizer into one right? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
you load scripts and css with it in a persistent way and that is about it right? - Avatar X from FriendFoo
not yet but some people said so. - YungSang from FriendFoo
stylizer is to load css as you load js. it can change the css of any site - Avatar X from FriendFoo
don't know if you had seen it or used it - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Already that in Fluid. - YungSang from FriendFoo
CSS, JS and one like google gears. - YungSang from FriendFoo
ah damn. it is stylish. not stylizer.. the latter is a css editor - Avatar X from FriendFoo
I know them, but I've never used stylish. - YungSang from FriendFoo
fluid... sad how bubbles was first than everyone but never got anywhere.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
yes everyone riffed them - Avatar X from FriendFoo
fluid, prism, chrome and even silverlight OOB - Avatar X from FriendFoo
funny enough only fluid has surpassed it. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i saved a copy of all css and js scripts and html base of rejaw. just for kicks. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
extracted them.. what the hell :P - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Me, too. :) not all, but some - YungSang from FriendFoo
by the way since they will be dead in 4hrs. i will reveal my clever trick. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
What is that? - YungSang from FriendFoo
the way you can see every single shout/whisper is with a feed browser - Avatar X from FriendFoo
a feed? - YungSang from FriendFoo
a feed browser. i put the domain. put the feed structures and then i just select the username or sniff them from the domain - Avatar X from FriendFoo
it was a idea from holand that never took off from 2006.. a feed browser. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
hmm - YungSang from FriendFoo
they had several like those. like feedxs for example - Avatar X from FriendFoo
feedxs.com gave you a feed without site.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
still does for that matter. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
I see. - YungSang from FriendFoo
based on that one thought about a way to see the feeds intead of sites.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
the other parallel tech that allowed it was the feed creator. the ones how create a feed from any site. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
back then i had the ide of why not having a feed creator for wap? you produce a message as a feed element. sent it to wap site and then anyone can read it using a wap browser as a fauxsite. it was clever but by then the jump for real web was in motion - Avatar X from FriendFoo
so you can say i had a twitter like pre twitter concept.. just that it was more aligned in a individual use.. not as a network in a single domain. basically my idea was great but too web 1.0.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
hmm - YungSang from FriendFoo
well. whatever.. now you got something else to archive your bookmarks. glad you liked it. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
Thanks. Excuse me to need a rest. - YungSang from FriendFoo
also glad that i made the xml work fast. thanks to your files of course.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
N/P - YungSang from FriendFoo
yes. c-y later - Avatar X from FriendFoo
cy - YungSang from FriendFoo
hahaha.. i loaded up a webaroo instance on rejaw.. it is now extracting as much it can get to extract in 2 hours.. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
set up to extract up to 5gb or 100,000 pages. whatever happens first. now it is at 886 pages at 48.5 mbs - Avatar X from FriendFoo
i also made a extract directly for htt://www.rejaw.com/avatar awesome. thanks again yungsang out chat reminded me of webaroo and its extractor. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
doing it by a domain extractor is a drag and too manual. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
lets see how much it manages to advance before rejaw death - Avatar X from FriendFoo
while rejaw.com gives a denial of service the assets are still alive. how do i know? because webaroo continues to download and has not stopped yet. if it found a dead end; it would just simply stop. - Avatar X from FriendFoo
