FundScience.org takes off: Acceptance of Applications for Round One of Funding | Deadline April 1 (no joke) - http://fundscience.org/blog...
"We here at FundScience are extremely excited to announce that beginning on Monday, March 1st 2010, we are accepting applications for our first round of project funding. Applications can be completed through the website and will be available until April 1st, 2010. Whether you are a fledgling or an experienced researcher, we hope that you will send us your research proposals. All research proposals will be scientifically vetted and up to three will be chosen as the recipients of up to $50,000 in research grant money, or you can receive the use of CPU cycles from our friends at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center." - Daniel Mietchen from Bookmarklet
I plan to submit a project designed at testing the efficiency of peer review, as outlined at http://sustainable-science.wik... (for EUR 50,000). Anyone willing to join in? - Daniel Mietchen
Another interesting project would be to set up a FF clone, as discussed over at http://ff.im/gLtCJ . - Daniel Mietchen
Updates: A proposal to test peer review efficiency was submitted to Hypios ( http://ff.im/hylRU ). More on Fundscience at http://ff.im/hzyWW . So what about submitting a proposal for such a FF clone? Update: Fundscience's fineprint prevents submitting a FF clone proposal this time. - Daniel Mietchen
