Why are apps so much more expensive on OS X than iOS, especially when they offer nearly identical feature sets?
I think the question is why are iOS apps so ridiculously cheap? Major MacOS apps have been expensive for years, esp compared to Windows apps, because the market share was small. Longtime Mac users are used to paying more. Shareware apps can be reasonably priced but anything doing a major job of something was usually at least $30 and up. - Spidra Webster
I think the iOS audience is larger than the MacOS one so I think programmers have some chance of making it up in volume. - Spidra Webster
