"Sorry dude but you are mistaken. If humans were true omnivores we would salivate at the sight of an animal and chase it down, eating it alive, guts, intestines and all. This is not what humans do. Instead, we are naturally drawn to the smell of sweet ripe fruit. Just imagine: If we were to decide to get the majority of our calories from fruit, that would require us to instead of cutting down rainforests to grow more grain to feed to livestock, plant millions of fruit trees around the planet in every neighborhood, restoring the garden of eden, absorbing all the excess CO2 in the atmosphere, and minimizing other environmental destruction caused by factory farming. I believe that is our future. It's only a matter of how long it will take for people to understand what true healthy eating looks like (in my opinion mostly fruits and vegetables, preferably raw), our planet is capable of sustaining not only all the people we have on it today, but also many many more!
