"6 Steps To Stack & Tilt If all of the golf instruction books, videos and lessons for the past 100 years had taught people to keep their weight on their left side and swing their hands inward, we would have generations of golfers drawing the ball instead of slicing. Golf would be a different game. Instead most instruction teaches moves that lead not only to a slice but to hitting behind the ball, which has inhibited the development of players and of the game itself. The Stack & Tilt Swing is a mechanically simpler way to hit the ball. The following are the first pieces you should focus on when trying Stack & Tilt for the first time. If we had only a few words to describe our swing, we'd use the headers to the six steps below."

For those of you who don’t know Annie Leibovitz, she’s the rock star of photographers. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that a majority of her subjects are rock stars. Even if you don’t recognize her name though, you’re probably at least a little familiar with her works, particularly the famous image of John Lennon kissing Yoko Ono.
- Richard Filing
Hasn't worked for me yet, but I'll upgrade and see what that does :/

Ditto here - prompt support on a file sync issue. I would bring those staff donuts and coffee with some regularity if this were geographically possible.

I've done this quite often and works great except cleaning up unnecessary Graphics and junk near top or bottom. Plus you need to Tag after in Evernote as well. But it's nice and easy, plus I can be on a machine anywhere with a browser (like Netbook, family, hotel, etc) without needing Evernote on it.

Be sure to go slow while doing this. I'm not sure of the exact rate, but after a few successive emails google will first captcha-test you, sometimes for a few emails in a row. Then there will usually be an error sending emails and you will find your google reader access temporarily suspended for suspicious robot-like activity.

Is anyone using an Iphone food diary/calorie counter that they can recommend? they all seem very US centric or are not recommended (via http://friendfeed.com/suelibr...)
Russell’s key concept is zest. Zest is an “appetite for possible things, upon which all happiness, whether of men or animals, ultimately depends.” (5) “What hunger is in relation to food, zest is in relation to life.” (111) As hunger does not automatically lead to satiation, zest does not automatically lead to happiness. Nor can happiness come from gratification obtained without effort. “Happiness is not, except in very rare cases, something that drops into the mouth, like a ripe fruit, by the mere operation of fortunate circumstances. That is why I have called this book The conquest of happiness.” (162-163) “The human animal, like others, is adapted to a certain amount of struggle for life [and] the mere absence of effort from his life removes an essential ingredient of happiness. [. . .] He forgets that to be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.” (15) The things we want need to be difficult, but not too difficult, to obtain. “Pleasures of achievement demand difficultie

Request: Line spacing options in new and edit note dialog (PC). Finding that copying text from other sources results in double spaced text in Evernote. TIA Evernote - love your work.
That happens to me too... One way to get around it, if your pasting doesn't have a lot of other formatting you need to preserve, is to right-click and choose "Paste Special" and choose from the options there ("Paste Plain Text" is the easiest).
- Fa La La La Lindsay
Thanks Lindsay, I've been running it through Notepad :(
- Richard Filing
Thanks Lindsay...it hadn't even occurred to me to try right clicking to see if there were any options, was just putting up with the double spacing :)

I'm a k-6 instructional tech facilitator. We usually mostly PB Wiki and wetpaint. Although wetpaint is very strick about the no under 13 users. Both of these wiki products are easy to set up and easy to use, but they do not give you a lot of flexibility. Depending on the age group and your objective you might also want to look into nings for more options.
- Kimberly Nolting
thanks so much for the tips! I prefer a wiki rather than ning: I'd like to have data, not people in the foreground for this project. It will be used by university professors and phd students. I don't need a very complex structure, and it is important to keep it private (at least at the very beginning).
- PaperDoll
You're welcome. I've used PBWiki before, but it frustrates me. When I saw the Zoho one, I tried it out and fell in love. I started making wikis for the sake of making wikis.
- Admiral Anika
@Anika :) @LouCypher nice this one too!
- PaperDoll
Petronilla, I don't think I've mentioned it on friendfeed before, but I created/run (for 5 years now) a homework web site service for teachers called HomeworkMatters. Anyone can try the demo (http://hmatters.com/... ) and 1 month free trial. If interested, you're welcome to the first year for free (it's $20 annually). It's not a wiki, but is a unique, simple CMS w/ a low learning curve to get content up and going. Here's a fantastic Spanish teacher's live site: http://hmatters.com/donroge
- Micah Wittman
I don't want to blab on and on, but you can set a global site password and/or a password per entry (page). Your data's also portable - you can export all your content to a flat file spreadsheet download at any and all times. Anyway, I hope you find the best fit for the needs of your school :)
- Micah Wittman
thanks so much, I'll take a look for sure - maybe I can use it for another project. :)
- PaperDoll
I am using pbwiki.com for my teachersite where my students go to check homework etc. Not very happy with it though, looking for something better.
- "Jazzperous" Isaksson
@Jeppe via Twitter I have received good feedback about wikidot. Zoho seems nice as well.
- PaperDoll
There's some others if you have a server running at least mysql and php, there's one I really liked... I think it was Knowledgeroot. Lemme check that out.
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
No, it's not it, it's great to publish information but not editing it. Else use TiddlyWiki as a single HTML file, really portable.
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,

Robert, you typed "I am alpha testing something" and it almost came out, Freudian as it may be: "alpha-tester male" or maybe "alpha-male tester". And it's working for you :)

Ah. I figured it would be weird for you to say that Gist was stealing attention away but it is the only unreleased project I had heard in relation to @god, I think. I'm eager to find out what it is anyway (even though I definitely don't need any help wasting time).

Sent you one Jesse and I already invited Louis and Mike. Nation, Lindsay, Chris - you should have invites too. Metalerik it doesn't like your email address; I wonder if someone else sent you one? Yes - I see you're already in. Smart system knew you didn't need one. Lindsay REALLY wanted in - she was there instants after I sent it!
- Internet Strategist
Jesse, did you get it or did your email bounce? Did you want one Robert? I figure you do so already sent it - but I may need you to invite someone for me because I just used my last invite this round.

I got Robert's. So am I under embargo by accepting the invite? ;-)

They don't need the $20 I just gave them then

Cute, Richard. :) (That is, I hope you're not serious. But I'm guessing you do realize that the point of funding is to bridge the gap until a company can get, you know, customers - or advertisers, or someone besides investors - to pay for products. So they very much do need your $20, assuming you're not unhappy with the product.)
- Kate O'Neill
Very much understand Kate - I'm a happy subscriber promoting Evernote at every opportunity because it offers a great service across web, desktop and mobile phone. Keep up the good work.
- Richard Filing
I think its a big opportunity for Evernote to capture the Social Media/Personal Knowledge Management initiative with further integration with Friendfeed, Twitter, FB etc. The river effect, where everything just disappears, makes me fret a little.
Automatic time stamped storage of pre-flagged social media with semi automatic tagging and perhaps integration with Wordpress platform or similar to provide publicly available library.
- Richard Filing
absolutely is ... Delicious gets a bit of heat now mainly because Yahoo didn't change it enough in update but that's because Joshua did such a great job setting it up. Who implemented tagging properly before Delicious did? Cannot wait to see the fit - go Joshua!

@Haggis(Sean) Damn! i really wanted to be with them on tour! I'm sure they have a lot of fun on tour :(

Oooh . . . I was sitting at home one day wishing I were in a band like the Foo Fighters - so I made this video, sitting in my lounge room, dreaming - I'd welcome your comments http://www.youtube.com/watch... "Fallen" by my Adelaide band, Pilgrim Soul
- Chris Loft
Love what Brian N said and what Rodfather said even more. My choices would be Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius's Big Band or The Pat Metheney Group. And then there's Sick Puppies and Iron Maiden. Oh and King's X or the Beatles.

I'll second the Incubus and 311 mentions and add Ozomatli to the mix.
