This is clearly not my cat. If this was my cat he's have one arm shoved down into the printer trying to tear up all the internal whirling bits with his bare claws.
- Soup
Too Funny! Reminds me of the San Mateo Cat Shelter where one of the cats loves to sleep on top of the laster printer where the paper comes out...
- Greg Lato
1600+ to beat the FFundercats live chat thread. I think with this real time now on all threads we're going to see some truly epic comment numbers.
- Simon Wicks
Ivan, no the picture speaks for itself. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Petr, I have no idea what you mean, but thank you. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
@Kol .. :] that, partially, might have been the purpose.... I don't know it exactly either. :] .. was I reflecting on a cat under the fax, and that it is hard to fax that way ... /?:] ... "underfaxing at its worst" ..
- Petr Buben
there ya have me ! :] .... see, to be honest with you, i saw this pic couple days ago, but i let it go, without posting it ..... what does that make me? :]
- Petr Buben
even a flat cat... faxes just can't handle the hair. You'd have to shave the cat first, else the hair will burn and stick to the drum... a mess! (I am extrapolating from transparencies, mind, i don't have access to a cat to test)
- Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
Hehe, Joelle. This is now tied for the 'likes' top stop. One more then, hehe. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Hehe, Greg. Blimey! Erm, is that not far from 500 likes now? ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Bloody marvelous, Kol. Wish I could like it again... too cute (and help u to 500 likes).
- Roberto Bonini
I couldn't believe it when I logged on from the morning over posting it and saw it was at something 200 likes! You all have a strange fetish with cats and fax machines, hehe. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Am I the only one who saw this and their first thought was - My goodness did someone break that cats neck? It still freaks me out a little
- Steve C
Steve, it does look a little out of place, but cats are pretty bendy. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
They fax much better if you flatten them first. What?
- Kevin Pedraja
So we can put this post to rest now. :-) 505 likes final count, wow! :-D Good night all!
- Kol Tregaskes
My like is the last one so far :) - 509 afaik
- getalifejerk
did 3 people really un-like this? now at 506. wtf (edit: uh, oh, yeah, me and 2 + 506 others makes 509. dammit, jim, i'm an artist, not a mathematician)
- ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
One of the best funny cat pictures I've seen! :-)
- John Collis
Kristian, it appears to be. Hehe, John.

It's really only social convention which regards it as inappropriate, same with Xeroxing it, like one does with their b__tocks. Wait are we still talking about cats cats here or...
- sofarsoShawn
OMGosh 700+ likes now!! LOL. Thank you all 702 of you. :-)

- Kol Tregaskes

Is it sad that I've been Ctrl+Alt+Del for over 15 years I never thought to use the delete key by the number pad? on a mac now, so I guess I have an excuse, but wow...
- WiseYoda (aka Patrick)
lol i want - i also want a windows-e version plz
- Allen Stern
WiseYoda, or the one-handed Ctrl+Alt+Delt, is the Ctrl+Alt on the right with the closest Del button. Gosh, I'm such a geek. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Do not start with your comparably crappywise OS7,6 of same days !
- Acharad Sami vanJoulee
This is pretty funny. Oh, and I had no idea that that using the numpad '.' for del overrode the Num Lock when doing CTRL+ALT+DEL. Interesting. I can already do the one-handed three finger salute quite quickly, though. Plenty of training and all.
- Chieze Okoye

The Hitler angle on health care is the most hilarious, I think. Because the main reason he's so infamous is because of the inefficient health care system he crea... oh wait, that's not it.
- Lo
So making it easier for people to get health care is just like killing them. Right.
- John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Here's to education hard at work *shakes head*
- Rene Wirtz
This disgusts me. Is there no education about the holocaust in America?
- Rich
Yes, but education doesn't spread like talking points. Near as I can tell from my right-wing family members, Hitler a) created a government-run health program, and b) used the word 'socialist,' therefore c) he and Barack Obama are the same, thus d) concentration camps are the inevitable outcome of providing health care to the uninsured. At least, I think that's their logic.
- Lo
The more I see this the more disgusted I am. This has gone too far. There need to be consequences to these actions and Bachmann and Boehner should be held accountable for it, and by extension all those "newsmakers" who urged people to show up for this horrendous display.
- Rene Wirtz

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre. After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van. However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied:
that was perfect.... perfectly terrible!! Awesome. :D

My wife sent this joke via email. Here's the "call to action" after the joke: "See if you have De Gaulle to send this on to someone else. I sent it to you because I have nothing Toulouse!"

I told this story this evening during dinner at the chinese buffet. Strung it along with lots of details. Had my mom and aunt on the edge of their seat. I nailed it! They wanted to hit me tho. I ducked.
- MicahBear78
Glad you got some use out of this joke. If they tried to hit you, then you obviously did it up right. :-D
- Jason Huebel
heh... I'm glad there aren't too Manet jokes like this out there.
- Jim Hearts FF
well, I can't even translate it in French, how will I tell it to my mom?
- marsupilamima
*Liked* for both the joke and the thread.
- Laura B.
@Marsupilamima: jokes based upon how words sound and may be interpreted are almost impossible to not get lost in the translation.
- lelapin
@lelapin well, twas a joke, I live with a translator, this would drive him crazy but he would find a way, he did with a book based on a character with Tourette syndrome :-)
- marsupilamima
I am an apple die-hard, and I can't stand the apple fanboys.

Irrational devotion to anything does tend to incite rancor in me. Of course, I'm also not a fan of people who summarily dismiss what seems rational to me as being completely irrational and insane, either.
- Victor Ganata
So far, people believe at 44% that apple have the more annoying fan boys followed by play station at 12%, xbox at 9%, IE and windows both at 7% there is 135 votes.
- snipe123
I hate people who hate other people for enjoying and standing behind their favorite products. Don't be mad just because you want such neutral opinions on everything that no one can express their deep fondness of anything. :3
- Devin Gaughan
I mean as a fanboy, a person who is completely loyal to a product or company regardless of if they suck or not. This said they are annoying because they don't answer to logic !
- snipe123
Understandable. I agree on that point.
- Devin Gaughan
lol you made me think about something http://njr-team.com/2009... this will make crash all the browser except Chrome(it half crash) and maybe safari ( not tested i'd like if someone could confirm it to me)

Why in the world would a project create a PDF of their manual with a black background? Seriously, I'm either going to soak the paper through on an inkjet printer or use an entire toner cartridge in my laser printer. *sigh*
Not sure that would work with these PDFs. Besides, the main text is white. This is more of a gripe about the documentation being style-over-substance more than anything. :-)
- Jason Huebel
You could export the pdf's as images and invert the colors then print.
- Bryan Lee
Maybe the person making it uses black paper with the ink cartridge full of Tippex?
- Rich
When you set your printer to turn off background printing and monochrome, it converts the background to white and the text to black. At least most modern printers do (she says without knowing the exact model of your printer...)
- cecily
Convert it to text and remove the background.
- Trish R
It's brown sauce - tastes like um. Brown. I don't like it that much. The branded version is HP Sauce, which is loved my everyone in the UK apart from me it seems.
- Rich
Having lived in both the US and UK, "Brown Sauce" or "HP Sauce" in the UK tastes nearly identical to "A-1 Steak Sauce" in the US.
- Glen Campbell, B.A.
I do love me some A1 steak sauce on hamburgers... But "brown sauce" just sounds unappetizing.
- Otto
I think I saw an episode of 'Dirty Jobs' that involved brown sauce. ;-)
- Herb Hernandez
I know of the fact that salad cream exists, but I've never tried it or actually seen it in a store in the USA. I'd probably prefer mayo anyway. Wikipedia tells me that it is "boiled egg yolks, mustard, vinegar, and cream".
- Otto
Brown sauce is the only possible condiment for bacon. Get real US people!!
- David Semeria
I've heard about this Brown Sauce for years. Now it's time to try some - I've just ordered some from Amazon: http://bit.ly/2laHhs They even have Salad Cream and I guess I'll have to try that too.
- Drew
I did not think FreindFeeders would be so closed minded. Brown sauce is the blue collar term for a version of what Canadians call Steak Sauce. Usually it's a blend of molasses, vinegar, dates, sugar and spices. In the UK "HP" is the favoured brand. Personally I find it unpleasant as it's dominated by a vinegar-y taste. It's competitor , Daddies, is far smoother.
- Liam Hemmings
Oh yeah and salad cream....well as long as I can remember that's been a market dominated by Heinz...a US company. I love it. Poor man's mayo, sweet, sour and creamy.
- Liam Hemmings
Brown Sauce is great for eggs too. I love a fried egg sandwich smothered in brown sauce.
- Matthew Neale
Brown Sauce is a British Institution - can't be faulted
- sofiagk
Salad cream is a dairy-free emulsion invented as a cheap alternative to mayonnaise. Both salad cream and Brown sauce are vile-tasting concoctions and there is no reason for them to exist in this modern, enlightened age. ;-)
- Slippy "Threadsbane" Lane
Ok. So salad cream sounds almost like Miracle Whip. Over here in the U.S., they usually either refer to it as Miracle Whip, or sometimes just "salad dressing" (not sure what, as that certainly gets confusing).
- Curtiss Grymala
Ahh... Okay then, Mayo is far superior to Miracle Whip (or generic "salad dressing"), so if that's what it is, then I'm not interested in it. Mayonnaise forever! As for "brown sauce", I'm guessing that it tastes similar to the knockoff brands of A1 Steak Sauce, which are all crap. A1 Steak Sauce is the only steak sauce worth a damn. A1 forever! :)
- Otto
http://bit.ly/11FyP7 Man! Amazon shipped the sauce fast. OK, so after the first taste I have to say that it tastes like A1, but slightly less flavorful and more tart. It's pretty good!
- Drew

Six year old boy got into an experimental aircraft and launched it. He's 10,000 ft above sea level in this thing. UPDATE FOR LATECOMERS: The boy, Falcon Heene was not found in the balloon when it landed at the site, authorites looking for him. BOY FOUND AT HOME, HIDING IN THE ATTIC!
- teh Dork Knight aka Kenny
Hope the kid will be OK. From the live video, it sure looks like it's going really fast. (ok, the anchor just said the estimate is 20-25 mph)
- Andrew C
They would have to sedate me if that was my kid. I'm feeling anxious just thinking about it and I don't even know who it is.
- Trish R
I really hope that kid is ok. Man, I would be passing out about now if it were my child.
- Charlotte M
The newsreader on MSNBC is pissing me off with her cutting people off.
- Anika
Uh-oh. Looks like the camera man lost the balloon.
- Anika
Funny. These people don't give 6 yo that much credit. I guess if you shut them out of learning, they'd be pretty lost. I'd rather assume that the dad at least explained to the kid what does what, physics and such.
- Anika
The balloon is headed toward Denver (according to Fox which I turned to to see if they had Live footage of the kid)
- teh Dork Knight aka Kenny
It's been in the air for TWO HOURS?!?!?! Holy crap!!
- Anika
That's what CNN just said. They haven't found him on the ground but a sibling thought they saw him fall out right when it was taking off. Plus, they can see in the pictures right now that the door is hanging open.
- Rochelle
The MSNBC feed I'm watching hasn't said anything about that. Maybe it's behind?
- Jordan Hofker
Conf: Said the aircraft wasn't supposed to carry anyone. They said the the child is inside the aircraft for sure. Not sure on what the purpose of the aircraft was besides a family project.
- Anika
Ah, the school district was off today. (answered my question). Dad had no idea the boy went in. Another sibling saw him go in and told the parents.
- Anika
Parents are Richard and Miami? I hope this all turns out alright.
- Jordan Hofker
If he fell out when it first took off, and it's been in the air for 2+ hrs and they've STILL not found him on the ground...geez.
- vicster
Vicster, yeah, that's why I'm not sure (and why the news people aren't sure) that report was accurate.
- Rochelle
Losing a lot of helium it looks like...
- Jordan Hofker
If he is still in the ballon he must be terrified and freezing
- Kim Landwehr
That poor kid. He must be completely freaking out. :(
- Rochelle
You gotta remember, there's probably a kid in there and there isn't like a protected cockpit so they have to be extremely delicate.
- Clark Baumgartner 蔵明 馬武刀
Actually, I'm shocked schematics haven't been posted yet. The dad is pretty well known, it seems. Surely, if they release that info, they could crowdsource some solutions.
- Anika
Clark, I'm guessing he doesn't exactly want out. He's in the air and stuff. Or if you believe CNN, he fell out shortly after liftoff.
- Jordan Hofker
Clark, I'm wondering if he's unconscious in there.
- Rochelle
They're talking about the possiblity of the kid moving around affecting aerodynamics. The lady said it could. That would make sense why it's listing toward the hatch.
- Anika
The kid's mom is "...a psychic mom who speaks to the dead and can control the weather, her husband and her children -- who believe they are destined to be stars." That is so creepy, given the current situation.
- Rochelle
I hope there's a separate compartment and the kid hasn't been breathing in helium the whole time.
- Rodfather
The affiliate is saying the e balloon is circling vs. moving in a straight line.
- Anika
at 500 ft. MSNBC says they won't show the landing until they know the kid is OK.
- Andrew C
YAY! MSNBC just said they won't show the landing.
- Anika
Rochelle, are you sure that wasn't the family they swapped with?
- Jordan Hofker
Is the silver behind them in that picture the balloon we're watching now?
- Jordan Hofker
Jordan, me either. I'm going on Wikipedia and ABC's websites.
- Rochelle
That's what I was wondering, but the shape seems odd
- Ryan Versaw
Jordan, it looks like something similar.
- Rochelle
Were I to be a 6 year old with a helium balloon in the back yard tethered, you can bet your ass I'd climb in and go for a ride. Just sayin'.
- Wirehead
I'm hoping it was a hoax cause that would be terrible if the kid died or something...
- Clark Baumgartner 蔵明 馬武刀
"When the Heene family aren't chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm."
- AJ Batac
it's still kind of terrible even if it is a hoax.
- Jason Wehmhoener
Eye of a storm...??? With a cardboard door? Hmmm....that's...um...brilliant.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
News reporter just clumsily told neighbor that the boy wasn't in the basket.
- Anika
I don't get what the point of a hoax would be. To get the family attention? Why?
- Rochelle
the kids brother ran into the house after he saw him go into the compartment, and the balloon then became untethered and took off. police already searched the house for the boy
- Neil Bernhart
But I'm laughing at the police tape stretched between the 2 SUVs. There's nothng else around!
- Anika
at some point someone (ie: the father, neighbor, etc) mustve stated "theres a 6 yr old boy in there." anyone know how this report began (mentioning the boy)?
- Carlos Ayala
The family called the local news for help tracking it, they said.
- Jordan Hofker
They're saying now that his name isn't Falcon. That's another sibling in the family but the boy who is missing is named Ryo.
- Rochelle
Sounded like he was unsure of the cell phone video though, as he only heard it from the other reporters. He missed what the sheriff (or whoever) said
- Ryan Versaw
Okay, I flipped over to Fox News. I've been going back and forth between CNN and MSNBC.
- Rochelle
Now the dude is saying a neighbor maybe saw two of the brothers on their roof video taping?
- Jordan Hofker
(I'm just typing whatever I happen to hear on this stream)
- Jordan Hofker
Update is that the family says a box/compartment was attached to the round thing on the bottom and THAT'S what they boy was in. So that box part fell off, presumably with the boy inside.
- Rochelle
This is like the 21st century version of those old "boy stuck in a well" events. Except now it's Twitter instead of radio that everyone is paying attention to.
- Kevin Pedraja
RE. Baby Jessica, "A poll taken by The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press in 1997 that measured coverage of Princess Diana's death earlier that year found that in the previous decade, only Jessica's rescue rivaled the Paris car accident in worldwide attention." http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs...
- Micah Wittman
I really wanna know what happened to that boy ...
- Viva Vida
we'll likely know by tomorrow. I'm frankly afraid to know, cuz it's unlikely to be good.
- Louise Alcorn
I hope that's not true. Like Kevin said in the other thread ( http://friendfeed.com/jamesfe... ), it's a balloon - if he really fell out like that, shouldn't it have shot upwards?
- Andrew C
Damn, Rodfather...that sent chills up my spine... :((
- JA Castillo
i don't think it is, they said he was in an external basket, I have a feeling that that upper compartment was for filling the balloon as well as instrumentation, it's possible it was just some meteorological gear, hopefully.
- Jimminy
I heard that is the basket and there was some damage on the bottom. Could be wrong.
- Rodfather
Rod, that's what everyone thought, the parents confirmed there was a plywood basket that was attached to the pole sticking out of the bottom.
- Jimminy
Sheriff says that the balloon that landed was in the same condition as when it took off. (According to local MSNBC news)
- Jordan Hofker
@Rodfather - Hey! Just punch the whacko stormchasers. Oh...wait. Okay, just punch the ones who take their KIDS! (That's just stupid)
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
Jill, I was referring to the quotes from neighbors/"friends" of the family saying that the father put his kids in danger... picked up by ABC while everyone still thought he was dead. I'm a child of the 80s, used to parent-blaming commencing only after the crisis has ended. It is pretty messed up that the sibling lied when the severity of the situation must have been clear to him.
- Lo
I'm glad they found him and that he's okay.
- Jordan Hofker
Every time there was a threat of a tornado, my family would go outside to watch. I'm still alive and I've seen some neat clouds and stuff.
- Jordan Hofker
So his parents are going to kill him now. >,< If they were my parents, first they would cry and hug me and be thankful I was okay. Then they'd beat my ass and ground me until I was 18. :-D I only hope that the parents aren't held responsible for any of the costs of this. It was a real emergency. Since the searchers didn't find him during a search of the home, they had no other option than to assume he went up in the balloon. It would be a shame to bankrupt the family.
- Jason Huebel
Yeah Jill, I'm not saying the parents have no responsibility, it was the timing that was depressing. After their news appearance, it looks like the parents may have even more responsibility than it first appeared!
- Lo
So what do people think about the kid telling Wolf Blitzer (filling in for Larry King) last night that it was "for the show"?? And then puking on the Today Show (twice)... poor kid must have not had a very good night last night.
- Chris Heath
I think someone needs to be cock punched now
- Rodfather
I forgot about him as soon I saw that baby falling under the train video. Besides, if they're going to endanger their children for attention, I'm happy to give them none.
- Lo
http://www.youtube.com/watch... this one has the best thumbnail though [edit: oh you can't see the thumbnail from that link... it's of him wearing a bra on top of his shirt... comical if you ask me]
