People who work longer (uncompensated) hours in the end receive more bonuses, promotions, incentives. Data only run through 2004. Need something more current.

If this were software - it would be like "Why weren't we notified that LEDs don't heat up - you just said 'they save energy'" Followed by "So, okay, you said "heat energy" well, well, that's not the same as heat" Followed by "Why didn't you test for this?" Followed by "I don't care, put the old lights back" Followed by "Why did our electric bills just shoot up again. Just turn the lights off at night then"

There is prob nothing magic about 10k either... it's just the time that puts you into such a specialization, you shine because the competition does not. Something along the lines... in the land of the blind, one eye is king... or am I missing something important in the theory? Can the 10k be rewritten as function of gravity or so? Or perhaps the number of Higgs bosons per square second?

Pawel-- thank you for the link to the paper. Exactly the stuff that I was looking for.

It really challenges us to consider how this communication model might play out for Extension... opportunities. Right now with restructuring going on across the county, I keep thinking of communications with County Councils. Could be cool, if we could incorporate an assessment tool into Wave.

Wave doesn't change anything unless average people actually adopt it. All the use cases here are technical or geek in nature.

I'm average and I use it. Might even be below average.

"Today, we've introduced a new concept to Google Wave--"following" waves. Now, clicking on a public wave no longer causes it to appear (and stay) in your inbox; you have to explicitly choose to "follow" the wave."
