Let me know how you like it. If appple doesn't go to new carriers by the time my contract expires I think I'll go with an android phone. Plus, I like verizon more than AT&T.
- Beau Liening
from iPhone
I'll have to come over on of these days to check it out.
- Beau Liening
from iPhone
I'm really wrestling with this. It looks like an excellent phone, and I've always said that if the iPhone was available on Verizon, I would have burned out two of them already.
- Ha3rvey (not Akiva)
I've been thinking about it for a while. I almost pulled the trigger the day they come out, but I went back over the plan and didn't like the ~$130/mo price tag. A co-worker got one and I played with it for a bit, and decided I definitely want the hardware. So, I went back and fussed with the plan settings until I got pretty much everything I want for around $90/mo. Not too bad.
- donato
Welcome to the fun. :-) I love my Droid.
- Jason Huebel
Ack one day I'll actually get my XB360 hooked up to the LAN. Wish there were more hours in the day. I even have 3 mos of the "Gold" as part of the HD promo.
- mikepk
Thank you all, I've added and requested you guys.
- Kol Tregaskes
ITBlogger Glad to see you bought a 360...you won't be disappointed. I sent you an invite.
- Alex Scoble
Actually I added everyone else too...so if you see a request to add ITBlogger, that would be me. Hopefully one of you has a higher gamerscore than me...I need a new goal. :)
- Alex Scoble
Amani, there was certainly a user with that username, added. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Alex, added, thank you. Yes Xbox is great, my brother and I have been playing co-op Call of Duty, shame we have to start from the beginning every time - how can the publisher/developer have omitted that feature.
- Kol Tregaskes
Alex, cool! Just got your request, and will respond as soon as I get back to the dashboard. :)
- Jandy, ConcertMaven of FF
Also, Mattie, in all honesty, I don't have a webcam. I hear Akiva just got a new MacBook Pro that has one built into it though...isn't that right, Akiva?
- Pete Delucchi
Akiva could also use the webcam on his wife's new computer, that I hear also has a built-in webcam. Ya know, just in case his stopped working for whatever reason. Me, I'm still stuck with nada for video recording. Wish I could help...la di da...
- Pete Delucchi
Mattie, like I said, no webcam, so you'll have to cope with an mp3, and it's super late right now, so I had to whisper too ( http://friendfeed.com/e... ) now, if the giraffe dies, it's on Akiva. :-P
- Pete Delucchi
Do it! DO IT! You don't have the balls!!!
- Mo Kargas
Pete has saved the beloved giraffe. He was reintroduced to the wild just moments ago!
- Mattie Kenny
Hooray for the giraffe! Does Akiva even have a picture on his drivers license? :D
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
7 girls ride a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. Each backpack has seven large cats. Each large cat has seven little kittens. How many feet on the bus? (not a trick question, the bus driver is off having a smoke, don't count him)
- Pete Delucchi
That might not be right, but it is my guess.
- Aaron Hood
Sue, you're on the right path, check your calculations though. Aaron, it's not a trick question, seriously. paws=feet for this problem, but if it makes it any simpler, count the legs.
- Pete Delucchi
7 girls x 7 backpacks x 7 big cats x 7 small cats = total number of cats (x4 = total number of paws) +14 feet for the girls = 9618 - no? (in my defense, I haven't had any caffeine in days) =)
- Caffeinated Sue
0. The girls' feet are likely dangling and not in contact with the bus floor. All cats are contained inside backpacks, also not in contact with the bus floor. Or you could literally mean -on- the bus, like outside it, on top, which would also be a 0. Otherwise, "all of them" is my answer. ;)
- abacab
I miss problems like this - perfectly do-able, but require some thought. Love it! Also love the snarky answers!
- Renee Pie
10990 is right == ((7x2), the girls and their feet = 14) + ((7x7x7x4), girls x backpacks x large cats x paws = 1372 big paws) + ((7x7x7x7x4), girls x backpacks x large cats x small cats x paws = 9604) grand total = 10990. Factored: 7(2+7((1+7)(7x4)))

I have two lists of #FriendFeed recommendations for everyone. 1. is a kinda top 100 groups and users list and 2. is a list of about 150 users that you may or may not be subscribed to already but are certainly worth checking out.
Let me know if anyone would like either 1, 2 or both? (note your will receive a mail with a partial list but also notification on your home page at http://friendfeed.com/ which shows the whole list) + we must be subbed to each other for it to allow me to post the recommends:
- Kol Tregaskes
Cool. Is anyone getting any of the groups I've recommended? The first list contains lots of useful groups.
- Kol Tregaskes
the groups are interspersed with the people in my list
- Aaman (Clone of FF)
Kol I'd like both lists please. Thanks.
- Iván Abrego
Thanks for taking the time to do this! I just received the list, and I'm a little confused. Are they all people I'm not subscribed to, or do I need to check that for myself? I thought I saw a few users that I was subbed to already, but I could be wrong.
- Michael Fidler
Which reminds me that sharing lists in FriendFeed is an unresolved issue, isn't it? :(
- Alexandros Georgiadis
Michael, they are people you are not subscribed to. When I click on you then click on recommend it lists only the subscriptions you are not subscribed to.
- Kol Tregaskes
Sounds like something I would definitely find useful. I am quite interested in seeing both 1 and 2 if they're still available. Many thanks in advance.
- Chainz
Thanks for the clarification! It's a wonderful thing that you've done here. Thank you so much!
- Michael Fidler
wowwwwzaaaaa, nothing short of awesome! I'm going to subscribe to all (I was afraid somehow I'd lose the list - still finding my way around here lol) and then take my time going through them. Thanks again for taking the time to put this all together and sharing it. My day just got a whole lot better. :)
- Chainz
No worries, Chainz. I went through all 3000k subscriptions to select them. I could add more but I think there is more than enough there for everyone.
- Kol Tregaskes
Would I happen to be on either one of these list because I've been gaining new followers despite not being on this weekend? Also, shoot me the 150 user list.
- Mathew™ one of a kind
Carlina, you've got 254 recommendations on their way to you. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
I'd be interested in both please Kol...it will be interesting to see if I'm not subscribed to any since I'm subscribed to 31k+ users haha ;)
- Nicholas James
The interesting fact is that I found many people on your list that I thought I was already subscribed to, they're so regular on friendfeed !
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
I'm already subscribed to some of them, although I'll look through the list later, to see if there's anyone I've missed, or Groups I should join.
- Tyson Key
Can I get three hamburger's with fries and and large drink please? Oops, wrong line, sorry:)
- Michael Fidler
I think I just got one too... unless its a unified one. If there is a second one then I'd like that also. Thanks for all this heroic sharing.
- Sajida H Khan
I sent them together. Check your home page for the full list.
- Kol Tregaskes
I should also add - Thanks Kol - this has got to be a lot of work to keep up with this thread and send out to everyone who requests. You're awesome!
- Nathalie, Dreamer of FF
Go on then Kol, i'll take the lists. Interested to see how they come up as not had any yet.
- Simon Wicks
Kol, when you get time I'd love to have a look at list #2
- Jim Hearts FF
Rodfather and others, including myself, are getting a bunch of new subs and we are thinking you are to blame. Thanks Kol! (Am I on any of these lists?)
- Jorge Escobar
Thanks, I subbed to everything. Some of the groups I may par back a little as they are not my main subjects of interest, but it doesn't hurt to look and expand. The people look super cool.
- Eric @ CS Techcast
Both lists, por favor. I think I may have made Kol's list too, since I've seen quite a few subs come in today.
- Jason Huebel
Thanks Kol, great lists. I've got more good content coming my way already.
- Willem (@wim66) ☠
Wow er, i subbed to them all, would of been nice to have the option to put them all in a 'new' list when i hit sub to all. Now i have no idea and my feed is a mess :(
- Simon Wicks
you could go back and look at your subscription history
- Bill Kinney
from email
yeah, am doing that now. 3 pages of it though. Should of just done them one by one from the get go.
- Simon Wicks
Eric, yeah the groups are really up to you. I've been sending them all out to everyone but, of course, they are either irrelevant or not your cup of tea.
- Kol Tregaskes
Kudos for doing this, Kol. I want a FriendFeed t-shirt with your face printed on it :)
- Ivan Zuzak
Oh boy, what have I started! OK, will slowly get through these, the process is slow as FF don't give you the option to select all from your friends list! :-(
- Kol Tregaskes
Thanks Kol, and I agree with Ivan, I want one too :)
- Nicola Quinn
Kol, thanks to you I have received a Flood of Subscriptions, and Subscribers. Much thanks, I shall give the honor back :)
- Matt Ruiz
Only because I'm after some sympathy, hehe, I have to select each of my recommendations individually, there is no select all then post, so this is why it's taking a very long time. I hope you at least find a few new users and groups to follow. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
i would dare say I'm already having a richer ff experience. Thanks Kol!
- Bill Kinney
oh niftarino. I say, I say, shoot the lists my way, and happy dance forth shall play in the sunshine of this day. I mean, I'm interested. <.< >.>
- Tsali, The Native of FF
Karma, same as Ozzie, if you would like the recommendations you need to approve my subscription request to you and also subscribe back to me.
- Kol Tregaskes
nevski264a, you need to subscribe to me to allow me to send the recommendations.
- Kol Tregaskes
Vaughn, this is an updated list plus I've added the second list (number 2 above). I'll send both, hope that's OK?
- Kol Tregaskes
at the very least - could work on other income producers in the time - long time to wait but if the money is worth it.

Sounds good. Thanks for doing this for so many of us.
- Vaughn
from IM
I have a sneaky suspicion that I am on one of these lists, since my inbox was suddenly loaded with a lot of new subscriber notifications. And since Kol always knows where the good stuff is, I'd be curious to know what/who is on those lists that I haven't subscribed to yet. Kol, if you want to take the time to do it, you can send me those 2 lists, as well. Take your time, no rush, I don't plan on disappearing any time soon.
- April Russo (app103)
April, I've sent the list. It only shows me and allows me to send you recommendations of groups and users you don't already subscribe to (in theory). So hope you find something new and interesting out of the 130 I've just passed onto you?
- Kol Tregaskes
I'm now closing this thread. I might open it up another time but I kinda need some sleep. ;-) Can everyone please pass the recommendations onto others. Many thanks!! :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Spidra, it's OK, it's a new FriendFeed feature, will post them in a sec. Check the FF home page for the full list (you will get a mail but I don't think it will list all recommendations.
- Kol Tregaskes
It would be cool to be on these lists :) I'm interested in both.
- Svartling
Nilesh, done. Niklas, yep it's taken a while to get through everyone. :-) FF haven't made the process each when you are recommending a lot of feeds.
- Kol Tregaskes
i'm interested to see the lists! thanks! :)
- Alexis Hope
Alexis, you need to subscribe to me, it won't allow me to send recommends unless we are both subbed to each other.
- Kol Tregaskes
Would you mind sending me both lists? Thanks!
- Reagin
Reagin, I've requested subscription to your feed, I've only done this as recommends need us to subscribe to each other. If you still want them please subscribe to me and let me know? I can then post the lists.
- Kol Tregaskes
Thanks for the lists. I guess I need to subscribe manually to the groups one by one? I could add all contacts automatically, but no new groups were added to my groups.
- Niklas Morberg
Niklas, I think it gives you the option to add all in one go?
- Kol Tregaskes

Wow, the red clouds image is beautiful!
- Zulema ◕ ◡ ◕
Zulema, I love each piece I picked out. So much wonderful energy from all of it, color, depth, shadows, etc
- Myrna
If the first presented are interesting, yes. These are spectacular!
- jcunwired
they cost because they are worth it. when you need the voice activated type, for meetings, with the easy rewind play over and over while doing transcription, nothing works better. for the 'downlow' recording of people, nothing works better.
- Morgan Haley
Thanks all for the feedback. I was looking to replace an older model that had no firewire output to copy digital files to my laptop. I'll be recording interviews at Comic Con for our podcast...will def. look into the headphones/mike option for the iPod touch (and I'd use my BB but it will be tied up with other duties).

Memo to all drivers: YOUR CAR IS NOT AN EXTENSION OF YOUR LIVING ROOM, NOR ARE YOU THE STAR OF YOUR OWN CAR COMMERCIAL. Put down the phone, put the food back in the bag, quit fiddling with your radio/media player, drop the newspaper AND DRIVE LIKE YOU'RE ACTUALLY GOING SOMEWHERE.
I will shoot you in the face with a bazooka if I catch you doing that again.
- Steven Perez
no doubt. cell phones are the worst. i can spot somebody talking on their cell phone a mile away by how little attention they are paying to the road.
- Bill Kinney
Bill, I actually think food is, I somehow ended up 20 feet off the road one day in one of our business vehicles while trying to open a box.
- Jimminy
Seriously. Driving should be just that... driving. I really wish people would realize what they're in. A vehicle is an awesome piece of machinery (some more than others, but that's beside the point :P), so you should focus on driving and ENJOY it. More over, it is also an extremely dangerous weapon, and there is no reason why you shouldn't be putting 100% of your attention towards keeping control of it.
- donato
Is driving with knees while giving myself a scalp massage still okay?
- Ha3rvey (not Akiva)
i'm not always into driving. sometimes riding along is much better so i can do other stuff. i can't wait until cars start becoming more automated. so, at least we can have the choice to either drive it manually, or just sit back, relax, and play.
- docrivs
what about putting on my make up while driving.
- Raquel Tomasino
I used to see a guy that had the same commute as I did eating a bowl of cereal while driving to work every morning. I wanted to see him dump that bowl of cereal SO badly.

And STOP SMILING this is SERIOUS BIZNESSSSS
- Mo Kargas
I keep asking the new GM to build a keyboard right into the center of the steering wheel. That way I won't have to hold my blackberry with one hand and my triple fat soy latte in the other, I'll actually have a hand free to occasionally tune the radio and operate my electric razor.
- DGentry
Maybe if they make the roads a little narrower, people are more forced to focus :P
- Rene Wirtz
Mo, so smiling while driving shouldn't be allowed either?
- Jimminy
@James Well...that depends on how fast you are going :)
- Mo Kargas
@Mo How about 80mph in an '10 Mustang and being 19, am I allowed to smile while driving?
- Jimminy
Yep. Wish we got the stang over here :(
- Mo Kargas
If F.L.A.G would just release a consumer version of K.I.T.T, then we wouldn't be having these problems. :)

I remember in high school, someone told me this story of some lady who was putting on her mascara in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and ended up accidentally puncturing her eyeball with the applicator because she ended up rear-ending someone.
- Victor Ganata
I want to invent a play pistol that shoots little bullet magnets on cars of drivers that are not attentive. But then I think it could get me killed.
- Janet
Mo: Yay I can smile, I'm really thankful I didn't end up like these teens http://ff.im/5bfEK. Victor: o_O
- Jimminy
After been driven in a tree i have a qlue about what could happend
- m00ns
DGentry, might I suggest a cup-holder and a long straw? You could probably epoxy some kind of shelf to your dash so it fits around the steering column - a handy place to keep your gadgets AND somewhere to rest your arms. You won't be turning any corners or anything right?
- Slippy "Threadsbane" Lane
You've got to love it! Up here in MA cell phone use is illegal and yet most people drive around with them to the ear. It certainly can be difficult if not impossible to pull over. A lady locally killed a guy and never swerved to miss the motorcycle since she was on a cell phone. I call that murder

I actually find the fake-looking images very unattractive.
- joey
Whaaat? Real boobies that size don't look like that... at least not in *our* planet's gravity field. That first shot looks almost *rendered*. Definitely some heavy photo shop work going on there.
- Adrian
So I'm going to have to chalk up that first pic to being overly photoshopped.
- Jason Huebel
Almost positive they're real. The airbrushed photos are annoying. She's definitely beautiful, though.
- donato
aww. she's cute in the photos you linked to. and she looks like she'd be fun to hang out with, which quite frankly, is a lot sexier than photoshopped boobs.
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
Much more attractive (in my opinion) in those links you provided.
- joey
@pea, yeah but I try to avoid posting nudes in the Beautiful Women group. But linking to them for the purposes of clarification... It's research. Important biology research. Yeah, that's it.
- Jason Huebel
They look real to me in the shots where she's reclining.
- Joey Gibson
I wasn't implying that you should post the nudes. Hell, some people I'm sure object to seeing even these in the main feeds. I can appreciate both the posed and natural looks.
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
@pea, I know. I was just explaining why I hadn't posted some of those to begin with. Her candid shots are much better than these, IMO. She's really cute IRL and these posed shots lose most of that.
- Jason Huebel
Pretty sure her start was on a breakfast TV show (maybe The Big Breakfast) in the UK - a damn fine way to get your eyes nice and wide open at 7:00am :)
- Patrick Jordan
I know - she is so hotter than this chick - just sayin - let the drooling continue!
- BEX
MLP is beautiful, don't get me wrong. Otherwise, I wouldn't have posted her. But Kelly Brook is more appealing to me. I mean, how can you not like this smile: http://thesuperficial.com/2009...
- Jason Huebel
You know you've won when you reduce DYSP to single syllable comments. ;-)
- Jason Huebel
This is probably one of my most commented, most liked posts ever. :-D
- Jason Huebel
Jason, those pics look like a totally different person. She's much better in those shots. I like her looks in the candids.
- BEX
When guys stick rolled up socks in their pants, don't you think that's pathetic? Why are fake breasts any different?
- Dawn
They aren't fake. That's why it's different. See links in previous comments. We've determined that the first pic is just photoshopped all to hell.
- Jason Huebel
*surreptitiously glances in BEX's direction*
- Steven Perez
from IM
@BEX, but you don't make your living showing them off. Models do. So I can understand why someone would disapprove of a model being cosmetically altered.
- Jason Huebel
If you think the breasts in that bathing suit are real, I've got a unicorn I'd like to sell you.
- Dawn
Who the hell cares about the other photos? That second one is THE photo.
- Steven Perez
from IM
Jason, maybe I do make a living with them ;) ;) I would never be judgmental of someone's tastes. She's just my least fav of all that you have posted.
- BEX
Hopefully nobody has thought I was judgemental of cosmetic surgery, since I'm not. Just pointing out why someone might consider a model "fake" when they have cosmetic surgery.
- Jason Huebel
wow they shopped the fuck out of her LOL what ever stirs your loins

[REQUESTING ASSISTANCE] Friendfeeders, I've got a busted graphics card on an older PC that needs replacing. Would anyone be able to suggest a replacement for an ASUS P5P800 motherboard (http://www.superwarehouse.com/Asus_P5...)?
Thanks for that Alfredo! I'm thinking of purchasing the 256MB ATI 9550 HIS (http://shop.ati.com/product...) as they sell that in my area for only AU$57. That should be compatible right?
- Andrew Trinh
Sounds right to me. I run a card just like that in my 6-year-old PC.
- Mitch
Also, which sort of RAM is compatible with that if anyone knows?
- Andrew Trinh
Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot. 4G total.

As Mint is basically a more polished Ubuntu with extra goodies and a nicer UI, I wonder what reasons there are to prefer Ubuntu.
- Christopher A Carr
Mint looks less polished than my Ubuntu, TBH. What extra goodies are there? I already have some 3rd-party repos...
- Tanath
Gentoo, Ubuntu, or Debian. There are a lot of decent distros, though.
- donato
Also, Mint is only run by a few people. Seems to me their efforts would be more productive by contributing to Ubuntu, which they rely heavily on.
- Tanath
Tanath: FWIW, Mint is ranked 4th on Distrowatch's hit ranking, behind openSUSE and ahead of Debian. Certainly run by more than "a few users," and you're the first person I can recall asserting that Ubuntu looks more polished than Mint. http://www.linuxmint.com/screens...

I have tried a ton but keep coming back to Ubuntu. I like Linux Mint as it is a lot more pleasing to look at right out of the box than Ubuntu but I agree with Tanath, the Mint Team would be doing the world a favor if they would join with the main Ubuntu Team to make better use of their talents to help the base Ubuntu look and feel much better. Christopher: I didn't say anything about the number of users, but rather than it's only run/managed by a few people. Ubuntu has _far_ more people maintaining it. Also, I didn't say the default Ubuntu looks more polished, but rather that _my_ install of Ubuntu seems more polished than the default Mint (according to screenshots). TBH though, Ubuntu is getting pretty polished lately.
- Tanath
Tanath: Ah, I thought you meant "run" as in running it on their hardware. I'll be sure to let Clem know that he should give up on Mint. ;-)
- Christopher A Carr
Ubuntu because I'm lazy and short of time
- Alec Clews
I'd have to say Ubuntu or Debian for desktop, and Centos for server distributions. Centos seems faster and more reliable than the others when used as a server.
- Marlin Forbes
ubuntu for most desktops, damn small linux, tinycorelinux, xubuntu, and sidux xfce for lightweight desktop, ubuntu server, debian, centos, jeos,, freebsd, openbsd, or open solaris for servers, edubuntu, fedora, knoppix, for specialized applications, and geexbox for multimedia
- Mike Chelen
Kevin: mint development helps the other linux derivatives too because whatever they generate can be freely merged into other distros
- Mike Chelen
Mike: Which takes more time & effort than if they were contributing to Ubuntu directly.
- Tanath
Should the other -buntus go away? Or would you be happier if Mint became one of the Canonical-endorsed -buntus? Mintbuntu? Not-so-fucking-brown-and-orange-with-a-better-menu-and-with-proprietary-codecs-and-flash-preinstalled-featuring-a-software-portal-etc.--buntu? ;-)
- Christopher A Carr
Most *buntus (eg., Kubuntu, Xubuntu) are really the same distro with different defaults (mainly which packages are installed), so most effort that goes into one directly aids the others. Personally, I have multiple desktop environments installed anyway.

That's a little creepy really, they've posted your flickr picture!

So. Annoying. You know, I don't even know WHY I find it so annoying... I just do. I should just let it go!

Unfortunately they don't have to be subscribed to you to access your RSS feed. They don't even need a friendfeed account. Blocking them from within friendfeed is probably not going to be possible.

- Matthew DeVries
Yea put his twitter feed in your FF and it be an endless loop!
- Fee501st
But he's probably not even ON FriendFeed, he's most likely using the RSS feed.
- Veronica
Yeah but I repurpose Google RSS news into my blog. How is this different? It's probably unnerving that you can't turn it off... but that's more of a problem with FriendFeed than this guy. FF should let you turn off RSS.
- Dave Friedel
An endless loop would stop in minutes because it would get flagged as a DOS attack by the firewalls.
- Dave Friedel
So you'd get him shut down by framing him for a DOS? I like it. Make it so number 1.
- Matthew DeVries
Well, it would alert the TW network admins that FF's IP is hammering their system, and I guess they would suspend the account. But it's more FF's fault for not optioning this feature (privacy-wise).
- Dave Friedel
Well it took a special kind of obsessive buffalo bill to realize it was even there.
- Matthew DeVries
True, but the world is full of douche bags. It's the application owner's responsibility to prevent it really. They (well "we") don't spend the time/money until it becomes a problem.

Veronica, Dellcan website has an email address on it, and you can probably do a whois for their ISP, if not their webmaster. If it's them, they'll answer and explain, if it's not them, they'll ask twitter to secure their name for them.
- Matthew DeVries
just think of it as him/her/it retweeting all your content...
- Cassidy
I think you should alert FriendFeed. They probably can just close the feed. The problem with contacting his ISP, is that he's not technically doing anything wrong. It's an open feed. The intent of open feeds is to repurpose content which is what he's doing. But FF could make the RSS url return a 404. I'm sure it's happened before.
- Dave Friedel
It could theoretically be an accident. I had an errant check box sending all my posts to a friend's blog once.

I build alot of XML/SOAP/RSS feeds. When it's a public feed, it's a pain. Typically I use reverse IP lookups (IPSEC) to route a feed point to point. In your case, FF should have a checkbox "make my feed public via RSS". But I bet anything they just do this upon request. Unless you think it'll cut off that RSS from someone else you want to have it.

- Dave Friedel
maybe this is all part of his plan lol!
- Fee501st
by looking up and planning to call/visit, etc., the 'reverse stalking' is now probably worse than subscribing to someone's RSS feed
- Aaman (Clone of FF)
*rolls eyes* OH NOES, we have become the monster!
- Matthew DeVries
That is some seriously freaky and weird shit. I'm guessing he's a spam bot, appropriating others content in order to make himself look legit.
- Miss Elle
Thinking about this some more, I think was wrong about shutting the rss feed. That's probably the main communication for other sites to pull from. It's just not a system designed for privacy. It's designed to be open. And... there's the downside to open.
- Dave Friedel
I hesitated to post the WHOIS link for exactly that reason, @aaman. He's just some guy trying to build a consulting business and using somewhat shady tactics to get attention.
- DGentry
Read the tweet I posted Fee - Seems he just likes a Friendfeed feed that serves up other feeds.
- Matthew DeVries
oh i see! Yea looks like he just wanted the views!
- Fee501st
Maybe it's so that when his dellcan 'global consulting' company takes off (or when the website's actually finished), he'll already have x amt of followers to spam. Or he's just plain weird. Or both. :)

The Blog Herald had a great post last year about the consequences of building social networks around RSS aggregation services like Shyftr: http://bit.ly/p2RCd

Can I get a quick 'How Douchey Is That Guy' ruling from you guys. I have just bought a white Dell Mini 9 to be my Hackint0sh Netbook. It comes with Windows XP but I'm not even going to boot that up, straight hack when I take it out of the box. Is it douchey to put one of my Apple logo stickers over the Dell Logo?
Johnny, leave it off, and enjoy the looks of surprise when people ask to take a look at your purdy new netbook and see a good OS on it ;-)
- Andy Bold
Rasmus, you put Apple stickers on your wife? Doesn't that upset her? ;-)
- Andy Bold
Ahhh... all Mac Ninja like... I tell you what though, I'm taking a black marker to every bloody shiny dell logo on the inside :P
- Johnny Worthington
from IM
Definitely put at least one sticker on there. I look forward to that video hey.
- Chris Lawrence
Two thoughts: (1) Aren't the apple stickers white? How will you be able to see it? (2) Is that what those stickers are for? To put over top of other people's logos?
- Miss Elle
sheeeit, i put a white Apple sticker that came with my iPod Shuffle over the Compaq logo on my old laptop. it was either that or a left-over bright orange "BASURA" sticker.
- Joe Silence is not dead
If it's running Apple software, why would it be inappropriate to put an Apple sticker on it? If you installed Ubuntu on it, would you even stop to think about asking if it was appropriate to put an Ubuntu sticker on it? Of course I'm not an Apple cult member, so I might not be up to speed on all the rules.
- Ken Sheppardson
i also have a vintage "Morley Men Do It With Their Feet!" sticker on that laptop, so...

My laptop is not made by Microsoft but it has a Windows Vista sticker on it.
- John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Hey, if you can't find a sticker . . . just use a band aid
- Chris Loft
I would definitely put an Apple sticker over the Dell logo.
- Joey Gibson
Actually, I think it's funnier to leave the Dell logo there, and surprise anyone who sees the Mac OS on it.
- Ladybug Heather
Eh, I'd put the sticker on but not over the Dell logo. Basically showing that Dell hardware can run Apple software.
- CAJ, somewhere else
Thinking of buying a few of these for the house. How well do they run?
- Jason Nunnelley
I'll let you know when it gets here... The nutsack thing is they are now discontinued
- Johnny Worthington
It will only appear douchey to apple snobs.
- Josh Haley
Johnny, I wondered what the deal was with the 9. They're still selling the 10 and 12.
- Jason Nunnelley
I'm pretty sure I got one of the last in Australia. They stopped selling the black on Monday and the White (which I wanted) has had a $50 off deal until tonight. Wouldn't be suprised if they go from dell.com.au in the morning...
- Johnny Worthington
I say zero douchiness level... Apple stickers are meant to hide one's indiscretions... I have one, Pacman-style, on my hp, just like Rasmus (yes, I'm the much-stickered wife) had on his dell... and now on his new Mac, though that one is old-school, so no harm, no foul there. :D
- Bette Cooper
Having what I am pretty sure are heat related issues with my laptop.and am looking into a under laptop cooling device. Do these things work? Any features/specs I should look for? Any brands worth looking at ?
What a stunning set of visuals. Tim Burton's vision is a perfect fit for this project.
- Piaw Na
I'm pretty excited. I love Tim Burton's creativity
- Johnny
Is that...Ann...frickin'...Hathaway?!
- JA Castillo
They look like they should appear in Gotham City
- Joe Dawson
Irrespective of the actors, it looks to be Tim Burton at his tantalizing best.
- Will Higgins™
Tim Burton's version will be interesting, but I really want to see the film version of American McGee's Alice (http://www.imdb.com/title...). If any of you ever played the game (http://pc.ign.com/objects...), you know just how awesome the twist on the story is.
- donato
i can't wait too see that movie! i was re-reading Alice In Wonderland, when i heard about Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland the movie.. i am so excited :))
- Bahriye
Loving this - YEP - Anne Hathaway as the White Queen! - Stephen Fry is in this also - does anyone know which role he landed? He'd do a great DoorMouse OR White Rabbit!
- Robyn Hawk
Depp looks great! Another home run for Burton?
- Manny
I agree 100% donato - McGee's version would be fantastic. Is there any progress on his movie?
- Dean "Karnatos" Michaud
@donato, isn't the twist that Alice is a serial killer or something? I never got to play it.
- Jason Huebel
From (American McGee's Alice) WP (Spoiler-ish): "Shortly after her second adventure, Alice's house is burned down by a fire, killing her parents, and leaving her as the only survivor. Because of the guilt, she tries to commit suicide (bandages can be seen on her wrists), and becomes catatonic. She is institutionalised in Rutledge Asylum. Years later, the White Rabbit summons Alice to...
