I want to, too. I really do. But they're too damned cutesy. Or they try too hard to utilize the iPhone's gyroscope (or whatever mechanism exists within it to allow tilting, et al.).

Accelerometer. There are a lot of really cool, non-cutesy, non-accelerometer games. Plus, the iPhone is apparently a tower defense enthusiast's dream platform. I play more games on my iPhone than I do on my PSP, which was my gaming platform of choice for a few years.

The one I'm having the most fun with right now is geoDefense. Square-Enix has one based on Final Fantasy, called Crystal Defenders, which is also pretty good. Star Defense was just released a few weeks ago, and it's interesting in that it's not 2D, but played on 3D planets, but it's really basic. I'd love to see someone port Element TD, or some version of it, to iPhone or some other platform other than Warcraft III. I love the idea of mixing and matching upgrades.
