While I do think that education has to change to keep up with the wealth of information that is now so easily available I think that it is important to keep teaching children a broad range of subject so that they have some basis to asses the validity of the information that is out there. Having a good base allows you to know where to start looking for the more detailed knowledge. We have to adapt the teaching so that along side the basic knowledge they are also taught how to interpret and search out the correct information. At the end of the day this has always how it should have been but before you have to look for other sources where as now a lot of them are combined on the internet.
