I use notepad for about 2/3rds of my writing. I can change the size of the window easily so I can see what is on a webpage as I write. I can write in html with out being alerted to a hundred different spelling errors that are html code. I don't lose the flow when I start writing in html. Save is easy to find and use. The program doesn't slow as a result of autosave. After I do that, it is a simple matter to copy and paste that to the appropriate box, and use FireFox's spell check. Beyond that, I use Microsoft Word. Simple. Ubiquitous. Easy to share.
