"This man was not a hero. He was a soldier in the army, which on behalf of the government invaded a foreign country. And people in that country killed him defending it. What did you expect? I suppose all of you would act exactly the same if some foreign army invaded your country, considering you call yourselves patriots. And it would not make any difference, if that attacker call such invasion "a just cause" or something like that. Anyway may this young man and thousands of his comrades rest in peace, because they met their fate doing what was required from them in given space and time and what they (well, majority of them I suppose) considered the right thing. And that alone is valuable."

"My question is how can an assembly of people (no matter its size ) in public place be deemed unlawful and subject to approval process? It`s clear violation of basic civil/political rights in any democratic country."

"Well, did anyone expect something different, even in Israel or anywhere? Hamas movement CANNOT be simply dismantled in Gaza by military means without completely obliterating those 360 square km stretch of land and murdering or expelling 1,5 millions of people. Like Israel and whole human kind cannot learn from history...."

"Well this is the result of seven year-old declared "war on terror"....What do you think? Who has the upper hand in this conflict? These "mistakes" committed by Americans and its allies will only push more and more young Afghans into the hands of Taliban insurgency and further to extremism and possibly into the hands of those so called international terrorist groups. So the result of "war on terror" will likely be the exact opposite of what it was intend to be. Are those US civilian and military officials so dumb they cannot comprehend this?"
- Richard
"Sacrifices? Are you really convinced of that? Aren`t they just pointless deaths of young men and women in the war you cannot even win? I feel so sorry for all those young men and women who were tricked by their governments` propaganda and killed in the perceived "war on terror"..."
- Richard
"If this is true, does anybody still have some idealistic illusions about so called "holy Islamic warriors", their motivations, determination and conduct?"
- Richard
"I always ask myself how many men can Taliban recruit for fighting? In the nearly seven years of war they`ve had enormous losses and their insurgency is everything but waning."
