@garyhilson Your Tardis brings great joy. :)
In a workshop about communication. Or something like that.
Feeling terribly sensitive. I hate it when I get like that.
@AliMarin It's a song?
Man, I love my boss.
@buridan and brewpub "meetings"! More weeee!
@adhamilton It ABSOLUTELY does! I love having two screens. I think the 27" would account for two of them though. :)
@adhamilton that's bigger than my TV. I can't quite imagine it. I have a dell laptop with two screens at work, but I never move it, so...

@adhamilton Yeah you know, that's the one that's got me thinking, too. 27" imac on the desk, and a netbook for mobility.
Considering computer refreshes. If money were no object, what sort of computer set up would you like to have?
http://www.contactmusic.com/news... Hey: We can portray Sherlock Holmes as gay if we want to, he's in the PUBLIC DOMAIN. She "owns the rights," my butt.

@chumptastic It's hard to watch how they treat the aliens. It makes me feel physically ill.
@dcannell I love tech, and teaching with tech, but I think the answer is thoughtful teaching.
Watching District 9. What a profoundly disturbing movie. On the brink of tears.
@dcannell I don't see anything about seminars in your video. Seems like tech is the most important thing. Misleading?
@ashuping I feel like the best way to really embrace tech is to embrace its absence as well. Oh aren't I zen!
@dcannell I just don't want to see a YOU CAN'T BE MY PROF video. It would undermine a lot of people and a lot of tentative efforts.
@dcannell It is exciting! But I don't think every person has to use it. Learning in small seminar rooms is exciting too.
@ashuping Some of my best learning experiences were in small seminar rooms with no computers. I think that form of learning is still valid.
@dcannell Video killed the radio star? We already learned that it didn't. Radio just changed.
@dcannell Tech does not make kids less human, or less able to relate to other humans. Kids are also not more tech savvy, or more innovative.
@ashuping http://www.youtube.com/watch... referring to the suggestion that a higher ed version of that be made.

Super conflicted about the idea that all good instructors have to be internet super users. I love the internet, but I don't believe that.
@dcannell also: your son would miss out on great teachers like my dad. He was an amazing shop teacher, even without the internet.
@dcannell I'm really conflicted about "YOU CAN'T BE MY PROF". You can still be a great prof without being great at the interwebs.
@djfiander Well, don't stress about it too much. Not like we won't do it again. Not soon with @buridan, of course.
@ciderandbooks Joining us Thursday, I mean.
@ciderandbooks @djfiander is joining. It shall be a knock-down, drag-out party, yo.
