I want an easy way to create visually appealing full-screen GUI menus based on output UNIX pipes/scripts, text files, HTTP, etc. I'm thinking of using it for 10-foot-UI apps and MIDs alike. The widgets should all be usable via a remote control or touchscreen - OpenGL/Clutter/similar support is optional. Any ideas?
I'll more than likely be going to India for one week later this month for work, and back in June for one or two weeks. So if the Internet doesn't lie, that's one pre-monsoon trip and one during. :-P I'd of course have preferred a winter trip, but I guess the heat will be good to sweat out the curries I'll be enjoying. :-)
Had a great few days in the Netherlands (missed NYE due to cancelled trains, though).. took the opportunity to buy a US-style keyboard there.. The QWERTY layout with a few tweaks works perfectly for typing German & other accented languages also, plus all the brackets are in convenient locations for us programmer types.
Finishing a Python/Grok project, writing a study aid Django app for Sophia, waiting on the arrival of my AsRock ION 330 HT, and TV/monitor shopping tomorrow! Oh, and I've a new Django project. :-)
We received the rental contract for the apartment yesterday.. :-) We'll need to buy a fridge and washing machine when we move in, but aside from those two things, we should have enough furniture to start with. :-)
It looks like this apartment will be ours.. Muhaha! We made a good impression on the current tenant (who put us forward as her #1 choice) and we went in person to the real estate agent to hand over references etc.
We looked at a really nice apartment on Saturday.. not the most lively area of Berlin, but a decent place to live. We've got to go to Passau this week, though, and clean out Sophia's apartment. Stress!
