Exactly what was Palin supposed to say about a very tragic accident that happened 36 YEARS ago? "I'm sorry for your loss"? Pleez. He prefaced that statement with the absurd accusation that she was somehow attacking him for being a single father. If this is the best you can do to criticize her performance then it's clear she did a good job.

i agree she did not blow it, however the expectations that she would committ some terrible stumble like the Couric interviews is the definition of blew it most people took into this. With that said, her proposal to give teh Vice President even more power, and even to suggest that it is a position in the Legislative branch suggests that she still as not figured out which duties the office holds.

Sarah Palin did a horrible job in the debate -- all canned statements, delivered like a glassy-eyed Stepford Wife, with near zero content. She lost the debate by a substantial margin -- check the polls. She will be a small footnote in American history. My opinion is that, by the standards of the average person watching the debate and not having a critical ear for 'talking points', she did better than expected. Chris: We haven't been attacked since 9/11, despite the fact that EVERYbody thought we would be. My son fought in Iraq. And the people he killed were not Iraqis. They were Al-Qadea from Syria, Saudie Arabia, Iran and Egypt. Btw, Obama was not in the US Senate when the Iraq vote was made. If he had been, would he have voted against it? I doubt it. @Shawn, I'm one of those, and I have fairly decent medical coverage. One thing that sucks for me is a $20 copay per visit to the physical therapist. Right now I'm going twice weekly, and will be for six to twelve more months. With my chronic condition, I'll be a repeat offender for the rest of my life. My current inflows v. outflows show me $6500 in the red on an annual basis. That sucks. Anyone have some ramen noodles?

Alright, on a serious note, Campbell made a mistake by talking over the top of the campaigner. This is a bad habit that TV interviewers get into: they go into the interview with one question that they want answered, and if they don't get it answered, they ask it again and again to make a rhetorical point, and no one learns anything. It's the journalistic equivalent of filibustering. Far better to let the man speak, then catch him out on what no doubt would have been logical inconsistencies in his argument.

Pretty amazing resolution and interesting to look around. Looks like the guy with funny socks, reading a book dropped his pager. 2 people are enjoying bottled beer (a Guinness and Sam Adams).
