RT @deargina11 bad gelato #saddestthingever {Ahm. How about, a good gelato, and not being able to eat it?}
So far, every Italian remedy for sore throat include honey and this, honey and that, honey and everything. Gaawd. Must. Finish. Translation.
@bellissimatina ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ :) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
@jeffinitaly You're going to the States for Thanksgiving? Awww! ...*no* idea when I'll be back. If you only knew where I'm considering next!
@jeffinitaly Ciao, Jeff. You're right! It is sunny and I do miss the fall-colors and snow... But at least air's crisp enough for boots :)
Not smart to translate huge UN project documents when there are med school exams to take. But I'll get it done to afford to do what I love.
Not happy to have to cancel my cellphone, but those hundreds of dollars in CNN news text message fees per year are not acceptable...
Love fall weather clothing that I'm seeing. But these historic center cobble-stone streets are brutal to maneuver with my favorite boots..
@jeffinitaly Jeff ...sounds pretty special to me! Besides, 30s is quite young still. Enjoy. :D
Thank you @CNN for bombarding my Mexico cellphone with text messages I didn't subscribe for, but must PAY for each. Can't cancel.
Found "Coco Avant Chanel" (avec la belle Audrey Tautou) to be quite lovely ..yet melancholic. All about rising from ashes. Sign of the times
@jeffinitaly Happy Birthday, Jeff in Italy!!! :D
♥ Finally learned how to maneuver these cobble-stone streets in my minidresses and 10cm high heel boots...
EVERY book should be by default on Ebook format. Get with the times! I'm ordering paper across international lines, which is ridiculous..
...wohooo! ♥ 2 people sent Google Wave invites for me... but I heard it takes a bit to activate. Is anyone here already on Google Wave?
P.S. If anyone is considering studying medicine for a bit in Italy, I find FuturiMedici.com very useful :) They have class notes, too.
Signing off for a bit! ✈Sparing you details of med system. I'll be back around when I continue my medical studies in Italy next year..
Confession: Thrilled w/ what I'm doing but I miss Italy & chats on overcoming cultural challenges. Will live vicariously through your posts!
Great weekend, many new experiences, but it feels good to be home, especially after a 14 hour over-night drive... hit the ground running.
I've seen university campuses in 5 countries, but this is by far the snobbiest. Must be the unfair distribution of wealth here that fuels it
@rusillio Grazie! ♥
Ironic. I cut my hair since I run 3 miles in am & 3 miles in pm, so I needed something practical. FYI. Short hair is NOT practical.
Ahm. ✂ ✂ ✂ ✂ ✂ My waist long hair is soooo gone. Cut my hair *again* this evening. ✂ ✂ ✂ ✂ Road trip in 3, 2, 1...
Okay. Off to pack my luggage. With 10-14 hour daily study sessions, weekend travel/get-togethers is the only thing that will keep my sanity

...someone here at the hospital keeps speaking English and I'm looking around to see who it is since I haven't heard English in MONTHS.
@sfgirl Oh my! Melanie, feel better soon...
@newyorker01 ...mais oui, bien sûr! :)
ROAD TRIP! Driving 5 states up to university in Monterrey, where preppy students hit the books ...many w/ bodyguards. Should be interesting.
..flipping back & forth between Spanish-Italian-English as I take notes, with new found respect for those in grad program in diff countries.
