With 50000 exodus, Gerlach has long been the choke. Can nobody devise a scheme for travelers leaving northwest on NV-447 and otherwise bypassing Gerlach? Why not use a special exodus lane, with flagged escort along NV-34 to 447. Those using it must depart northwest and not turn back. To prevent cheaters from turning south, close 447 southbound at NV-34 and staff with sheriff during peak exodus. It'd alleviate congestion for *everybody*. - John Lam

Some of the most amazing art I've ever seen. Concentric circles are like the coolest things next to spirals, but I see you covered those bases too. All of the pieces in this post are phenomenal, and I went to art school for four years just to be able to appreciate stuff like this. - Parker Catalano

A remarkable linkmarking app still only in by-invitation beta, Twine goes deeper than words (lexical units) and uses the Semantic Web to organize and draw together related ideas, events, people, organizations, and contexts. Now in stage one, your submissions go into a twine, a group and collection, all about Burning Man. - John Lam
Just before creating this “twine” mistakenly, i searched not only via Twine but also via Google for “Burning Man” and “BurningMan” and found no such group …apologies for the confusion. I know i feel consternation when i find duplicated tribes, twines, and groups fracturing the discussion and collection. Please join http://twine.com/twine/burning... instead and post there. As soon as Radar Networks enables merge, i hope to merge the two. - John Lam

Should the moment ever come when once-almighty but now-weakening Tribe ever break, a babel of voices will scatter us to the wind. Pioneers within some communities need a home elsewhere and have already begun seeding new fora. Many sites and platforms can host, but to aggregate them back together into one conversation, few but Friendfeed can scale to the task. Welcome the vanguard. - John Lam
