Oh yeah - hosted at http://smellslikegay.com/metas... for the moment until I get the kinks out if that helps diagnose the issue. - Sparky

It looks as though it was just whipped up in a day without much testing. It should use position fixed for browsers that support it, and then maybe make it draggable. - Dustin
Uh, yeah, that would be about it. I'm not a full time coder, just wriggling through. Now I can't get the border to go away in IE. - Marianne Lenox

Nathan, use mail2ff and send the mail to both addresses. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
hmm ... good workaround. Though I'd still like to be able to do it with the bookmarklet too. - Nathan Rein
yes this is something I've requested before. Also be nice to post to more then one room at once. - Colide81

I noticed a bug where if an item that has many attached images and is reshared, only the first few visible images are shown and there is no arrow to expand and see all images. The post at the above link should have 13 images. - Gabe Ragland
Ok, this seems to be done on purpose. Would be cool if reshared items kept all attached images though, no? - Gabe Ragland

The ability to go into someone's feed and hide some of their services instead of waiting for it to show up in main would be great too. - Andrew Trinh

RAPatton, how can you /Like this spam junk? - Voyagerfan5761
I thought the GPS device was interesting. I like GPS devices and think that the easy capturing of spacial data is a very important frontier in data - RAPatton
naa, bollocks. He clearly just thought Ionela was cute ;) - Zee at WeDoCreative
She is hot, and she did say Please. - RAPatton
Maybe RAPatton's "like" will result in more visibility - and more buries. The social network can work against you. - Ontario Emperor via fftogo
This is obviously spam... just read the description of the digg submission. Get a better copywriter... pls... - Brandon
Wrong choice of room to spam :) - Karthick R

What do you mean? I have the option to hide room items... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
really?? where? All I have is "comment" and "more" - Zee at WeDoCreative
Make sure it's not an item that you posted... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
yep, definitely didn't post it. Are you actually inside the rooms or hiding from your main stream? - Zee at WeDoCreative
ah interesting, you can hide from the main stream but not actually inside the room i've discovered. Friendfeed - how easy is that to implement? - Zee at WeDoCreative
I'm in a room (this one) right now, and I don't see a Hide option. It must be available only from lists. - Voyagerfan5761

a search feature for rooms is absolutely needed - Niki Costantini
Everybody is waiting for this feature - Steve
you can do a google site-search: [search-term] site:friendfeed.com/rooms - Vincent van Wylick
try http://beta.friendfeed.com/e/c... Like Vincent's technique but slightly more specific - Nathan Rein
Nice suggestion Vincent, hadn't thought of doing that. - John Duff
Sorely needed. Currently I just blindly edit the URL ( /rooms/) and hope my guess was right. - Roberto Bonini
I searched here for "search room" and all I can say is "doh!" I can't find the Chrome room, if there is one.... oh well. - Richard Walker
I shared this in delicious a while ago. Just add keywords after the url in the search box http://www.google.com/search?h... - Steve J
Thank you Niki! - Richard Walker
you're very welcome Richard :) - Niki Costantini

You can also show this on the right rail subscription list for each user. This way I can find interesting people to add to my subscriptions. - Krishna Gade
Interesting idea, but how would you determine likeness/compatibility? - Ray Metzen
Imagine it like a Venn diagram: My likes and where they intersect with your likes. The larger the intersection, the higher the compatibility. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Yeah, that should do the trick! +1 - Ray Metzen
This seems like it would be very hard to do right. - Izzy McMullin

Or at least some sort of flagging system instead of just "Like". Give me numbered flags or colored flags and I'll be happy. - atzmon
thought it would be a good idea! - slsrx
only if you (or they) can think of a way to implement tagging that 1) doesn't create much of a burden for the tagger and 2) provides a lot of value to the readers/subscribers. An enforced taxonomy = pain in the rear. An unenforced taxonomy, in my experience, results in chaos, annoyance, and not much of interest. Flickr is a mild exception, but isn't all that great wrt tags, IMHO. - Adam Lasnik

I added a Twitter search for "Phillies" to the "phillies" room. It gets like 40 dupes of every news article. Since I never know which publication is going to carry an interesting story, I want the Twitter hits to determine what's interesting. But not 40 copies of it using 6 different URL shorteners. Any Pipe writers here who can strip out dupes with identical titles but different shortened URLs? - Steve J
I found a Yahoo! Pipe that shows all URLs found in the feed just once. http://is.gd/2iPM It was written to float the most frequently appearing URLs to the top of the feed, but my search feed still returns 15-20 unique shortened URLs all pointing to the same published article -- largely thanks to bit.ly. I need a Pipe that ignores the URL shown and detects dupes by reading the rest of the text in the tweet. - Steve J

that might be a good idea if people can't be nice when they give their opinion. - Colide81
YES! I was just about to write the same post. Unfortunately it's only going to get worse from here. Generally speaking it would be great to be able to enter a set of keywords somewhere to make FF exclude all posts and comments that include them. - Richard Crocker
A hide filter would be handy for that. - Tanath
