“soooo.... kenley still hasn't been sent home? theyre "intrigued" by what her show might be like?? she makes ill-fitting garments, uses the same old lady shower curtain fabrics, and has become master of one thing: ironic hipster "quirky" 50's dresses. i have no desire to see her show. bad season”
I agree, she should have been booted off just for her attitude. - Trish R
She's stupid for always jumping at the judges with an attitude--the important people in the competition who decide her fate . . . Oh my life was hard...i can't help being defensive because i always had to fight... this isn't easy. really? and totally loved that fabric from last episode!! mmm purple scales - Krista K
She's got a bad attitude. I can't stand listening to her. "It's not supposed to be elegant Heidi". And she never takes Tim's advice. - Benjamin Golub
She mellowed out this week and was even nice to everyone, and had good designs. - Victor Ryden
“I can't believe that Kenley is in the Final 3 and Jerrell was cut (even though the final 6 all showed at Bryant Park). I wasn't a Jerrell fan & I like Korto but her dress was the worst. It sucked though giving them that extra, last minute bridesmaid's dress challenge when they all had work to do on...”
I knew this would happen last week when they kept Kenley even after she was such a bitch. But her dresses WERE better than Korto's and Jerrell's. I think they kept Korto because they liked her previous stuff more than Jerrell. - Trish R
Plus, this way I got two out of three of my first-episode finalist predictions right :) I had Kenley, Korto, and Suede... not too bad, though last season I got all three right! - Shannon Jiménez
Also, I agree with you, Trish. I think they kept Korto on the based on the strength of her previous designs. - Shannon Jiménez
Korto's dress was shockingly bad. I couldn't wrap my head around what was going on up top - no shape, at all. That said, everything but the middle of Jerrell's dress was a mess. While I agree that Korto's past work influenced their decision, you also saw nothing new or different from Jerrell on the runway. It was another sparkly, overworked outfit. If I was a judge, I wouldn't be compelled to see any more either. I think there's more of a surprise factor with Korto. - Heather Cee
Kenley is such a one note designer. yawnfest - Theda
I was surprised she stayed, too, especially after she acted so bitchy to Tim, but I guess they wanted another week of drama. From the previews, looks like she's going to do the same thing to Heidi. It's obvious now who the final 3 will be. They start running away from the others towards the end. - Trish R
She scraped by by the skin of her sarcastic teeth. I think Suede's continued suckage cumulatively got him in the end, not just for last night. - Steve Isaacs
Kenley should have gone home. Suede's might have been boring, but at least it fit the genre better than hers. And seriously, Tim Gunn needs to bitch slap her. - rachel
@Victor I had him pegged to win it from episode one, like Kotto this season. - John Frenette

I can pick Project Runway and Top Chef winners like there's no tomorrow, but I can't pick The Ultimage Fighter finalists to save my life. Oh, and I (obviously) have schizophrenic taste in TV shows... - John Frenette
via twhirl
Haha, so can I, John...and it sounds like we have the same crazy taste in shows. :) - Corie "Viper" Jones
I KNOW it's a drag competition, but really? This dude looks like a big, fat, gay florescent pig. Blayne should have been the one to go. Daniel's dress was at least pretty. - Steve Isaacs

No arguments from me. I thought Terri's kabuki get-up should have won. - Heather Cee
I like it because it suits the Southern Belle drag queen and isn't at all Joe's taste. It took on the challenge, which was in a completely different area that he is used to working in (unlike Terri), and gave the client exactly what she wanted. I agree though that Terri's was the most interesting but Joe's client could go right into a drag show. - Liz
I liked it. Great "package" hiding. - Fancy Fembot
“Kenley was one of my favorites but she is beginning to really annoy me. She's acting out her insecurities by ridiculing others and that just makes her seem so young & childish. Laughing while they were critiquing Joe was just rude even if his outfit was horrible.”
Agreed. In the first few weeks she was my fave but now I kinda want to smack her. Also, am I the only one who didn't think Suede's outfit was that bad? The way they were talking about it, I felt like I must be looking at the wrong person or something. - Shannon Jiménez
Seriously when did she become such a brat? Next week it looks like she's going to go too far. No one messes with the GUNN. - rachel
I think they are also editing Kinley bad. - Fancy Fembot
I aree that her outfit wasn't really that bad (don't know why the judges hated it so much), but personality-wise she has always grated on my nerves, so I'm glad she's gone. - Shannon Jiménez
"Von Furstenberg said she was inspired by the legendary Vogue editor, Diana Vreeland, who once opined that ‘blue jeans are the most beautiful things since the gondola" And she was on Project Runway last week. Great product placement continues! - Victor Ryden

“Glad that Keith left but it is too bad he didn't learn what the judges were trying to teach him...how to listen to criticism but keep your own vision.”
“It's too bad they didn't kick Daniel off last week because I think Kelli could've stayed on the show longer. I mean, she won a challenge & was never in the bottom 2 before. Last week reminded me of last year's prom challenge where they knocked off Kevin too soon.”
The judging is so inherently subjective that the designers have to at least understand the general basis for sending someone home. Without that, it seems capricious, unfair & random. This year it seems like everyone going home thinks they didn't deserve it, more so than in other seasons. - Liz
I agree. Though it was worth him hanging around an extra week just to watch him sulk as the judges kicked his puppy (which was wearing a cocktail dress). I feel like unicorns could vomit glitter and diamonds on that guy and he'd still behave as if Smiths records had been injected into his bloodstream. At least Kelli seemed to have passion. - Heather Cee
“This week's "out": lame-a-licious. In your opinion, what's the bigger crime: blatantly ignoring the parameters of the challenge or poor execution? (Maybe I just find Blaine unbearable.)”
Hard to say. He failed massively on both counts. Depends on the situation methinks. He's very very lucky that the other garment was complete fug-a-liciousness. - Steve Isaacs
“So, are people bored with season or what? No comments on this week's episode. Maybe you're going to the Bravo boards which can be a surreal experience at times. The regulars have their own sense of community but a number of them know a lot about fashion.”
“I was disappointed in the challenge last night. Is this entire season just going to be a rehash of past challenges? Boring. The winning dress was fab though.”
Well, I think it is becoming more and more of a challenge for the producers to think of new challenges....there have probably been over 70 different challenges, think of all of the themes they've used (plants, food, candy, prom, trash, denim, jet-setter, haute couture, men's suits, etc.). I think they are bound to repeat versions of old themes. I'd rather they pick a good theme than something so odd-ball that it results in ridiculous clothing (wrestling, anyone?). - Liz
Yeah, I just want to see some really nice, well-made clothes. OK great, you can make something out of food. How nice for you. Now what about something wearable? - Corie "Viper" Jones
I think there's definitely a way to make the challenges more interesting while still making them about real clothes with real fabric. But this week the entire idea seemed like an afterthought-- ok, use this camera for inspiration and since it's night time, create a 'night out on the town' look. - rachel
He was not my favorite on the show. Original? Yes. But he was an egomanical (sp?) brat. I was even more disappointed he won the fan favorite award. I thought Jillian was more consistently excellent. But the judges like those artsy, unwearable outfits. - Liz
Her leather fetish is out of control! I REALLY like leather but not like that. - SciFi Ranter Girl
Unless there is another Sweet Pea fluke, she'll be out before they reach the 1/2 way mark on the show. But she's already proven to be more versatile than I expected. She talks leather but she was able to pull off a very conventional dress. - Liz
“My wish for season 5: That the creeping vines of ham-handed product placement don't envelop the show the way they did in Season 4, but I imagine that they definitely will.”
Yeah, she sucked. And the red-and-white jeans she was wearing - fugly! - Steve Isaacs
They weren't even "good" trash bags, the kind that could maybe seem like patent leather, they were the cheapie 99cent store kind. She seems a little dazed and confused. - Steve Isaacs
She seemed to give up very easily, saying she knew she was going home. I understand that but on Week #1? With that attitude you might just as well pack your suitcase and catch a cab to the airport. - Liz
“I was so happy to see Austin Scarlett that I nearly screamed. And I want the dress made from the dodgeball/lawn chair. I've decided to name my first child Suede. That name is awesomely bad.”
Austin has some crazy doll-eye staring vibe happening. Speaking of eyes, spray tan boy looks like he's high on coke the whole time, and has the odd sniffing, too. - Steve Isaacs
Season 1: Jay or Kara Saun although I didn't think Wendy was that bad; Season 2: Daniel but kind of glad he didn't win; Season 3: Uli but I like Laura's collection, too; Season 4: Jillian...she got shafted. I also think Rami surpassed my expectations. Christian? Fan favorite but all big ideas and completely unwearable clothing, IMO. There is a similar vibe to Jay, Jeffrey and Christian that will make predicting Season 5 winner much easier unless the likely winner has a spectacularly bad week. Chloe's win was an aberration....the judges prefer adventurous fashion to appealing, wearable clothing. They prefer editorial to commercial fashion, that much is undeniable. - Liz
Agree Jillian was the best, with Rami just behind her. Celebrity judge thru it. - Victor Ryden
I liked Austin from season 1...his clothes were always so beautiful. And I think Christian definitely deserved his win on season 4....every week his clothes blew me away. He's oozing with talent and so freakin young! Haven't seen the other seasons. - Amber Horner
