Alwan is getting better, so I guess it's true that the more mistakes you make the more you learn. But he still doesn't seem to get blogging. I mean, citing Al-Abbas is stupid. Both never tried blogging, yet they both talk as if they were blogging experts. - Ahmed Al-Omran
Alwan has no clue. A blog is just a reflection of its owner/writer. So, blogs would be as diverse as people, in quality and in every aspect. Only time and readers will determine which is best, so the filtration process is on going, no need to create (methodologies/guides/etc..) for blogs.. they should get this. - Essam Alzamel
Do you think a mini social network like this one could be useful to put Meccawy's idea into action? Nothing too fancy, but I thought it would be more functional than a mail list. Not many people are on Twitter and/or FF but almost everyone knows how to use FB so it won't take time to learn how to use it. - Ahmed Al-Omran
I think FF is a better place and it is easy to signup and start sharing ideas and stuff. - Zamil A. Safwan
What's the best approach to this: a mailing list, a FB group, or maybe something else? - Ahmed Al-Omran
I recommends having two, Friendfeed room for discussions and a twitter account for alerts - Zamil A. Safwan
Well friendfeed up to my knowledge isn't as popular as Twitter (yet). In any case we already have this room, and I would love it if you guys invite others on FF. As for twitter, maybe Ahmed could lead that? - Rami Taibah
hmmm, was actually thinking, why not hold a podcast? 3 or 4 could just gather up on ustream.com or whatever, and hold a weekly or bi-weekly discussion about such issues, their thoughts, solutions...etc - Rami Taibah
Oil's rise from $10 a barrel in the late 1990s to $130, partly due to soaring Chinese demand, has triggered a turnaround in the Islamic kingdom's economic fortunes and a return to some of the big spending that characterized the 1970s and 1980s.
But it has also put Saudi rulers under greater scrutiny in a country about two-thirds of whose 17 million people are under 30 and more educated and aware of what is happening abroad. - Ahmed Al-Omran
