Your scenario critical uncertainties (open - proprietary; fragmented - concentrated) are similar to Vision 20/20: future communications industry scenarios (2004/05) that I project managed (centralised - decentralised; joined-up - fragmented). I'm pleased! We must swap notes about the elements.
