@Karim, no, it' snot safe to say.. I am the only user on this PC, so nobody else created those folders. But you're on the right track, far too many apps cause foldres to become read-only, which does not happen on XP. As for permissions, I considered switching UAC off, somehow always convincing myself that I shouldn't. Found a bunch of registry hack to cause UAC nag less aggressively, did those.. but I think I am just going to switch it off.

I think one of my favorite aspects of this is the fact that upon finishing the song, they don't stick around at all. The term 'scatter!' comes to mind. Fantastic.

Veronica, that's why I see no big deal of this, as it's more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Definitely, not 'blue ocean' ;) Maybe that's Google's operating principles. Taking existing product ideas and make them 'awesomely' better. They definitely succeed with search engine. They're using the same principles with Knol and web browser.

Re: Google's originality. Search? er no. Web Based Mail? Web Based Maps? er no. They have however mostly jumped into a market already dominated by others and made something which has better than the rest. I'm interested to see what is new with this browser.

Agree with the comments: "If you're stupid enough to pay retail for a Dell, then Apple just might be the computer for you." and then "The author's main point is that Macs are similarly priced to PC's. Then halfway through the article, he states that MAC prices are at a premium because it's from a top-shelf manufacturer and it is sold to cater to a "lifestyle." Did you read the article before you posted Leo or just stopped at the headline?

Even during the times when Macs are significantly more expensive than similarly spec'ed PC's, you can never put enough emphasis on the app's that come pre-installed on the Mac, right out of the box, and just as important, the visual appearance and design that goes into making them look... well, I know it's just personal taste, but Macs just look great.

I felt like that when I moved over to a Macbook a coupla weeks ago after catastrophic laptop failure. It found the wifi straight away. I plugged in my old PC printer - the Mac found it and it worked straight away! No nightmare installations of software/patches/restarts. I did nothing except plug it in. It. Just. Worked. At that point, I, too, started to get a bit scared.....

Not only watch, now you can embed. And that includes being able to embed just certain user-defined clips, because Hulu allows for that in its code.
