"Yeah I understand what you are saying but science has a LOT to say, and is still studying the neurological imprinting that happens during addictive behavior. The brain uses GABA (Gama Amino Buteric Acid) to rewire itself but it is going to be very difficult for a man (or woman) who has been acting on their sexual addictions for thirty years to exercise self-control as it would be for a young person who has been involved in sexual addiction for just a few years. Of course I am not a scientist or counselor so I am only shooting off at the mouth from the things I have read from other people ... but even so it makes sense."
