I haven't purchased anything based on ads (clicked on a few), but I have purchased festival tickets, paid for music/dance events, and donated money based on posts/comments. I have made purchases based on FriendFeed/Blogs/Facebook posts. "Food pictures" are great incentives to shop/dine... :-)
