@adamjackson not sure been a while since I rented one as my place is all hardwood. I think Costco and some hardware stores also rent them
@adamjackson Safeway's rent out carpet cleaner's for fairly reasonable rates as I recall
As a result he has a lot of inventory left even as the market winds down unlike farms w/higher quality & better prices who sell out
Esp goods which are superficially the same - at the Alameny market there is one farmer whose quality is good but who's prices are doubled
Also kettle corn, rosemary, mild thai peppers, habaneros, cayannes & amazing lunch (see earlier tweets) all <$50
@LadyLeet sounds like you are having a foodie friendly day as well. Highly recommend the now great Alameny market getting very serious
Bought at mkt 2day: farm eggs, pomegranets, 5lb madarins, Italian eggplants, brocolli, shitake mushrooms
Amazing sign when the taco stand delay is they make their tortillas to order! Getting a turkey adobada taco
Observing the price and quality variations over time at a farmers market is Econ 601 in action - a real graduate course
Eating the best BLT ever - Good Food Catering at the Alrmany mkt Tomato jam w/homemade bacon http://tweetphoto.com/anqmalrg
Followed by an entirely made from scratch pumpkin pie & probably a baked apple & pear custard
Then whole, free range organic turkey, simple sourdough stuffing (in bird & veg side), fresh cranberry sauce
Have I mentioned that while simple Thanksgiving is one of my favorite meals to cook?
Current menu: selection of homemade dips - beans, chicken&turkey liver, mushrooms w/great bread
In some years I've cooked for as many as 20 this year looks to be a smaller crowd
Heading to the farmers market (alemany) late to pick up some parts for my Black Friday dinner
Also roasted Brussels sprouts w/fresh hot peppers and local apples, roasted sweet potatoes & baby carrots
