">As far as hardware goes, how do you make a tiny keyboard easy to type with? Excellent question. I've met several people with Blackberry handsets that say that they type quickly, but after watching them I think they may be fooling themselves on how quickly they type. Ditto for the people I see on the bus with iPhones (great for consuming content, not great at making it from what I can tell). I think that you need to simplify the problem by changing it. Don't make a small keyboard that fits in a phone, make a pair of typing gloves that talk with the computer that is embedded into your glasses via bluetooth or a similar system. You could type normally in the air, or in a relaxed position with your fingers facing each other (like holding a steering wheel). This would have the advantage of being ergonomic, silent, and possibly the ability to record video and categorize everything you see and hear."

"neat, but why not just build a keyboard into a mobile device that allows me to type as quickly into it as a on desktop? (~40wpm) Seems like solving a difficult software problem is more effort than solving a relatively easy hardware problem."

"Recorded music is a commodity in the same way that broadcast music has been for decades. When something is a commodity, the easiest way to make money from it is to sell something that goes along with the commodity, not the commodity itself. Microsoft sells software that runs on commodity hardware. Brita sells products to filter commodity water. IBM sells consultants to work on open source enterprise software. Google sells end user eyeballs to advertisers. Adapt or die."
