I have spent 2 hours decomposing this bastard of a regex: /:((?:[\w\u00c0-\uFFFF_-]|\\.)+)(?:\((['"]*)((?:\([^\)]+\)|[^\2\(\)]*)+)\2\))?/
That previous regular expression was straight out of jQuery's Psuedo-class pattern matching. For selectors like *:contains("text")
Revision 128: Fixed numerous issues with story finding on frame page. And refactored switchero - http://code.google.com/p...
Obviously I'm from svn, but if it's just me on a project, it's fine, but working w/ others, I would have to merge differences way more often
I set git to auto-push post-commit. I know it's bad and horrible and not right, but I like it. Am I very, very wrong?
Decided to vespa in today, which means I was staring straight into the business end of a Yankees parade. 2 doz. doughnuts fixed 1 hour late.
Just contacted by Cambridge University Press for permission to reprint something I wrote a decade ago, at 16. Gets better with age, I guess.
@adamend I'm sure this is of little help, but have you considered Celery to abstract away some of the complications inherent in multiproc?
@adamend I've worked with multiproc. before (http://code.google.com/p...) and remnants of failed Queue/threadpool remain. It sucks until it doesn't.
Making your own caramel is as easy as butter (although, no butter is involved; just sugar + water + heavy cream + rum): http://savorysweetlife.com/2009...
@karynbosnak Was just there for the first time last night. The Blueberry Banana shake was so-so (too many competing flavors), but good food!
Revision 127: Moving around the like/dislike buttons to a per-story basis in the story-titles - http://code.google.com/p...
@jwegener Whatever, I pushed it to 50 by making the 24th review. Shouldn't *I* get the cookie?
@alex_gaynor Doesn't celery use AMQP messaging in its architecture?
Steepster suffers from the same problem as Yelp: Some people just like everything. They'll give 5 stars to Celestial fucking Seasonings.
" You can't comb the hair on a coconut." Say what? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... Ahh...
Revision 126: Naive Fisher Bayesian Classifier. Stubbed in some boilerplate for making the ana - http://code.google.com/p...
@danfooo FileMerge.app and Preview.app can be run multiple times, but will launch only one empty instance.
@alex_gaynor Hey, thanks for the Wave invite. Might be relevant, here is my Django project: www.newsblur.com. Look for Lazy Pythonista.
@jwegener No, and forget about Q, too.
My friend @daveambrose's startup, http://www.scoopst.com/, just launched. You can [group-]buy NY Knicks for real cheap. Less than a new Apple mouse.
Heard a loud pop from underneath my front tire while riding my bike over the bridge today. Manhattan Bridge: 1, SC: 18.
@BrooklynBased If Blue Marble has it, then it's simply because they would have it. And they probably do have it.
Just got Apple's new Magic Mouse. How the hell do you middle click? (Also swapped a wireless keyboard for a wired keyboard. I missed arrows)
@karynbosnak Been to S'Mac in the E. Village? Everything comes in a cast iron skillet, which would be nicer if everybody else didn't do it.
@alex_gaynor Hey, I'd love to give it a shot. samuel@ofbrooklyn.com. Thanks!
@zuhl That's an out of order unintentional haiku. Kid's a genius!
@justinlilly A month free, get paid, do anything? Travel. I would take my car across the country, slowly. Meet friends in CA for lunch.
