They look like Yorkshire Puddings - I've never heard them called popevers!

WorldofHiglet - they're a lot like Yorkshire Puddings, but usually a tad sweeter (since YP is usually made with drippings, if you can get them). Very, very delicious! (My ex roommate used to make them for breakfast some mornings - I really miss that.)
