LOLZ Barack Obama | Stand up for foreign aid <--shameless (how stupid does Obama think we are?). The GOP are not cutting foreign aid to Israel. The GOP believes in making a distinction between our allies and countries that are not our allies. - https://my.barackobama.com/page...
Obama says: "Stand against "zeroing out" aid to Israel Republican candidates for president Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich all say they would cut foreign aid to Israel—and every other country—to zero. Stand up to this extreme isolationism and join the call to reject the Romney-Perry-Gingrich plan."

this is the same Obama who won't let Jews build houses in their own country?

Shouldn't all foreign nations (including Israel) take major cuts in aid from the US government before Americans themselves suffer major cuts in aid?
- Sean McBride
no. obviously not. to apply equivalences would be biased, regardless of any opinions. this is not the true facts about any GOP platform but the GOP closest in foreign policy to Obama (like Paul)

American spending should be focused like a laser beam on the best interests of Americans, many of whom are now in great economic distress. The American middle class is collapsing.
- Sean McBride
Israel is the best investment there is for America. You don't have a point. Start attacking the best venture capital in the world... no one will buy that argument. Israel is an Oasis of creativity and innovation and it's the best money to boost wealth for others. You going to tell Apple compter, Intel... your SMS text messaging... that led to social media? Would you admit that the very...

Why should successful Israeli high-tech companies need any money from Americans, and especially during an era in which Americans themselves are under severe economic distress? Should Americans channel enormous financial aid to countries like South Korea simply because they have already produced successful high-tech companies like Samsung?
- Sean McBride
Israeli tech has a proven record with American tax dollars. plus it finances many Americans. It's a win win. any equivalences would be biased. I certainly would not invest with a country merely because they have cheap labor to build factories. Israeli is R&D... the best in the world. The question for America might be what would happen if they ended a relationship with Israel and what innovation would be lost? It would not be prudent to end the relationship for America.
- NoahDavidSimon
Sean would you support restrictions on Jewish intelligentsia in America? Would you tell the educated class of Americans that they can not do their work in Israel because of funding cuts? It is unlikely that the cream of our tech colleges would want to move to South Korea over Israel. you are not dealing with a foreign entity with Israel. When you deal with Israel, you deal with those...

Noah -- I admire Israeli educational and technical achievements and encourage as much creative interaction between the United States and Israel as possible. But I do think that in times of economic distress the problems of Americans should be addressed before the citizens of any other foreign nation -- and I am not trying to focus on Israel on that point -- the focus is on foreign aid in general.

but these are the educated Americans. when I was at Carngegie Mellon... I'd see the punk rockers and girls with the piercings in the art department, but my room mates were chip designers. they were Christian fundamentalists. Real Tech... not the bogus cultural tech scene in the media. it is about discipline. these guys spent hours working out a maze of a micro-chip. they were not hip. they were disciplined... and that discipline is why they went to church.

As expected, the White House released $1.3 billion annual aid to Egypt despite the country being overtaken by the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists. The army remains under the junta’s control only nominally—its real loyalty is to the Islamists. Essentially, the US is funding our enemy.
- NoahDavidSimon
Isn't it in Israel's interest for the US to have some leverage over Egypt rather than none?
- Sean McBride
assuming a huge thing with a country run by Muslim Brotherhood flavors. there is no leverage. better to give it to a country that you see results. Nothing wrong with investing American dollars in places that benefit America. An ally in the Middle East like Israel who gives back to America incredible advancements.

From NPR: Wayne State University won't be bestowing any more diversity awards named for Helen Thomas following more controversial remarks by the former dean of the White House press corps. The university pulled the honor, the Helen Thomas Spirit of Diversity Award, after the 90-year-old said this week that "Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by Zionists. No question, in my opinion." Thomas made those incendiary comments, according to a Detroit News report, before a diversity conference Thursday. In an earlier report, the newspaper quotes a Wayne State official explaining the obvious, that the university had to put distance between itself and its famous alumna. "The controversy has brought a negative light to the award, which was never the intent of the award," said Matthew Seeger, interim dean of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts.Even the very liberal NPR recognizes that Helen Thomas is a nasty old bigot with its (unprofessional but...

We’d normally expect The Savage One to bit this caller’s head off. But even he is so stunned by her stupidity that his reaction seems unusually muted. The best part is her ability to move so seamlessly from stupid comments on one topic to equally stupid comments on a completely unrelated topic.
how stupid is yo mama? yo mama is so stupid she thinks the president pays her welfare check from his pocket. yo' mama is so stupid she doesn't know how to think. yo' mama is so stupid that..whew!

As the government gives orders to its negotiators to move ahead on a deal that will release 1500-2000 terrorists in exchange for kidnapped IDF corporal Gilad Shalit, the 'Palestinians' conclude that kidnapping Israeli soldiers and civilians is a valid strategy that yields positive results. And so, the 'Palestinians' look at a mass release of terrorists not as the end of one kidnapping, but as the
